Increase NPC TAX RATE

Remarkably, a huge amount of paid (or unpaid) freight jobs are not done on NPC corp characters atm.

You’d think they would for wardec immunity, but they dont.

My change doesnt affect Player corp hauler income at all (infact, laterally may increase their income, as NPC corp haulers drop out of the paid contract hauling business).

Story time!

The Salvos Tale:

I realized early on that I did not enjoy the repetition of Missioning.
Instead, I specialized in Cruisers for HS DED probing/running.
I did research on dotlan, and created jump clones/ships in systems of interest to me.
I learned all the sites, and how to run them optimally.
I made wipe-able glass charts like these to record irrelevant sigs for faster identification of new DEDs:

Income was very good (for my standards anyways) and PLEX was cheap.
Life was good. I enjoyed my choice of how to play EVE.
But over time, the market became saturated with the drops I farmed, and PLEX went up and up.

This character has never left NPC Starter corp, because I never needed to.
I don’t need a Player Corp for the operation of this character.
The bounty of the sites is tiny, so the tax doesnt concern me.
I didnt need to refine/process/manufacture anything, so didnt care about tax on that either.
I shipped my goods using services provided by others, and sold them at market on a Player Corp trading alt.
My income came from deadspace modules and Overseers Personal Effects which I would sell at nearby CONCORD stations.

I know focus more on my alts, in other activities.

Impact on Salvos of a 25% NPC Corp Income Tax on all isk that enters my wallet:

-Reduced income from bounties.
-Have to sell the Overseer Effects on a Player Corp alt.
-Can still hire others to haul my stuff, or via free private contract to my own alt.
-Am still wardec immune.
-Can no longer transfer isk to this character, or Ill lose 25% to income tax.

The greatest impact, is not being able to transfer isk to this character without taxation, for purposes of buying what it needs to operate. Also cant sell anything directly on it, or Ill lose 25%.

Imo, the NPC Corp tax level is not only too small, but should be applied to ALL income that enters that NPC Corp members wallet.

An “Income Tax” of 25%, as fee for wardec immunity that the NPC Corp provides.
You work for them. They want their cut of all income you get.

As my example shows, there are ways around the proposed tax.
Its not intended to utterly kill NPC corp membership, with no options/survivors.

It will however incentivize joining Player Corps for all activities that involve isk income.

now that’s just plain dumb

why would mere men have the right to tax exchanges between demi-gods?
it’s literally the most stupid idea i’ve seen on here

Jita alt item trade?

Sure, as there is no isk entering your wallet.
Like I said, there are ways around the tax, and that is fine.
This isnt intended to crash NPC Corps with no survivors/options.

A more pertinent question would be why mere men (NPC Corp) AND the demi-gods in them, have the right to be wardec immune from other demi-gods?

Because it’s been that way forever

like bumping,
Like warp mechanics
Like all the other stuff you cry about

Why change something that’s working perfectly fine?
You’re literally the only one asking for it

Why are you afraid of a 25% income tax in NPC Corps?

This applies only to income, not to the pre-existing NPC taxes which apply only to costs for services at NPC stations. This doesn’t change those at all. Even Player Corp members have to pay those taxes if they operate at an NPC facility. An NPC corp member operating at a POS pays only the owners set tax.

You are confusing NPC bounty tax, with NPC service tax, with POS tax, with my NPC income tax.
They are different.

calm down satan

what?

that’s pretty weak lol
like your arguments for having the taxes raised

100% taxes on everything, go!

I agree with increasing the Tax for Standerd NPC corporations but not the Militia one.

It is will be good to be around 20%

So each millon will be 800K.

Also i mention to fix War mechanic so neute (NPC corporat) can not help the
agressor nor deffender.
If they do they must be a part of the fight and not being concorded who shoot them
that involved in war.

Sorry, but a big fat NO.

If NPC Corp tax is going to be raised as well as be imposed on all ISK the members make, then members of that Corp should get reduced rates on services available in that Corps stations.

Actually, now that I think about it, members of that Corp should be the only one’s allowed access to that Corp’s stations and services, at a reduced rate of course.

Just eliminate ISK from the game then.

Sounds like people need don’t see the root of the problem. (Not in any real order)

1: NPC corps are to safe (I don’t see this as a major issue, as you pay for your safety)
2: Making a corp is to easy. Leaving a Corp is to easy.
3: War-dec system sucks orc nuggets.
4: Taxes/bounties are just ■■■■ on a mechanic level.
5: my lack of a life
6: CCP would rather give us enchanting, busted agent finder thingy, a in-game skill road map.

1: Agree. But that safety goes away in low/null space.
2: Agree. Either there needs to be penalties for leaving a corp in a war dec or creating a corp needs to be harder.
3: Agree. There is no winning a war. There is also no losing a war. There is merely fluffy bunny poops being dropped around paying concord to just ignore things.
4/5/6: Doesn’t really apply.

You and me are going to have to sit down and have a chit chat about my humor. Or I need to remember to post sarcasm emoji :frowning:

Increasing the npc corp tax will not have positive influence on players.

What will happen can be summed up easily:

  • Some old players will quit in disgust. (and come back two weeks later, sucking it up)

  • Some old players will create one man corps, and simply fold and redo at war.

  • Most new players will have no idea that it has increased, because they were not there before.

  • Some new players won’t care much, because they did not experience the lower tax.

  • Some new players will feel forced to create one man corps to save ISK.

  • Some new players will join other corps, just like they always did anyway.

  • It additionally disturbs the already fragile nature of rookie and npc corp chats.

Your idea does not add any benefit. It just makes it worse for everyone, including war deccers, who will see more people folding and redoing their corps.
