You created projects, which are perfect for making corps extremely engaging, but the roles that are required for indy members to perform jobs for corp do not allow for them to do so without hangar take access, fundamentally breaking the entire usability of corporate projects for industry.
If I need to expose a hangar that contains 100B of raw materials to the trust of all members in corp I am simply risking everyone’s combined wealth to the whims of a single player, I can never do that with more than a 3 people group, so I’ll never really be able to use Industry Projects for anyone other than the corp Directors.
This defeats the whole purpose of the Industry Projects which is to engage corporate members.
The only manner by which this can be realized through the use of Indy projects is:
- Allow corp to hold a massive amounts of resources (BPCs, materials, ISK) that can be seen but not taken
- Allow players to use the resources in industry jobs that are rewarded by the corp projects
- Guarantee that the outputs stay in hangar and can never be stolen except by high-level officials of the corp
- Officials take the materials to distribution
- Profits are already pre-shared through the industry project reward
- Corp has functioned like a demand and resource buffer, creating an actual reason for industrialist players to work together at scale
- Corp becomes a snowballing pile of assets from which there is little incentive for any official to steal from it as the growth surpasses any amount of wealth that all the players have objective rewards to work together that are bigger than those to being alone or stealing from corp
The only workaround to this is that every officer gets a base and they work with only who they trust. Keeps corps small and distributed in clades.
