Insufficient warning given to players about gankers

That’s literally my point.

Do you disagree that ganking is a bigger crime than murder in EVE?

Yes, I do.

When you are murdered you come back to life for free in EVE. The stuff you lose in a gank does not get replaced like that.

…and?

That makes ganking a bigger crime than murder

It’s not a crime. No ones been charged with a crime IRL for property damage in Eve Online. No ones been charged with a crime in Eve Online for property damage in Eve Online.

Did you think i meant there is an IRL law against ganking in EVE?

Thinking of it, with a good lawyer, you could probably make a case like that and win

I don’t know and I don’t want to, so I cover all bases. Still, no one’s been charged with a crime for property damage.

Ganking is imoral and being against properly warning people that its a thing is just as bad. I will rest my case.

Thank you for demonstrating how two nothings are the same size on my behalf.

You are welcome

Ganking is fine, and nobody needs a warning for it - it’s obvious. You’ll next be asking for reminders every thirty seconds to breathe.

Assuming they still have all those horrific ads in high sec stations, they could have one that says: “Beware of Gankers” than another one “Calm Down Miner”

Some gankers announce themselves before the gank. Still did not work:

What to do then?

mercy

That was only recently introduced. In earlier times you had to pay for a new medical clone with ever increasing costs depending on the skill points it would save. If you had no medical clone or your clone was not classed high enough you would lose skillpoints on death.

And today you still lose your implants if your pod gets killed. So still no free death.

It’s unbelievable how rude that miner was. No wonder nobody likes miners.

Why would ganking need it’s own warning?
Do you also equally want a warning for the following player versus player activities:

  • Market trading PVP via manipulating prices
  • PVP taking place in low-security system
  • PVP taking place in null-security system
  • Manufacturing PVP via driving down or up system cost index
  • Planetary Production PVP via deploying/destroying customs offices
  • Mining PVP via bumping others from belt so your group can mine everything
  • Mining PVP via destroying the competitive miners ships (Note that it’s pvp in a form of shooting and destroying ships, why would it even be defined as ganking in this case )

List goes on… See where i’m going with this?
