Insufficient warning given to players about gankers

Not all the CSM use the forums . . . I seem to be the odd one in that respect. That is not to say that they are not active, just that they are not active HERE.

Wow , and you call gankers toxic?

Stop harrasing the CSMs. they don’t have to respond immediately to you you know. Contrary to what you may think , the world does not revolve around you.

Gankers get warnings when they turn safety to red for the first time- get this removed, thanks.

You sure about that? A criminal lawyer that got ganked said he would track down all the gankers IRL and have them sent to prison.

Maybe they are all now behind bars like @Ax_l_Thorne, currently serving life without parole for blowing up pixelated spaceships.

Not even miners like miners, they are happy to have other miners mining their rocks ganked.

Gank you.

LGTBIQ+ hate is not allowed in Highsec. Only nullsec miners in the northern regions are allowed to do that.

Yeah let’s be supportive instead, that sounds much more constructive and healthy for the community.

TV stands for Transylvanian Vamp

Anyone who does not support gets bitten, ganked, podded.

You mean Transvision Vamp!

Something that I’ve thought about is the lack of education on ganking for newbies.

I think, CCP should have a tutorial, that you can’t skip, that puts you in the seat of a venture. Walks you through how to use the d-scanner. Teaches you to pay attention to local, and walks you through step by step getting ganked. Explaining that ganking can and does occur in high sec.

That’s part 1

Part 2, walks you through step by step on how to perform a gank.

Part 3, tells you you need to buy Omega if you ever want to continue this career choice, unlike the other careers.

First up allows me to apologise that I had wondered into this forum section.

Re warning regarding Ganking.
Currently there is no warning or written guidance regarding this term.

A new Capsuleer is thrown to the wolves the moment they decide to create their pilot.

New capsuleer should read about the game online before camping in forest full of wolves. A few articles on games websites don’t make secret of what EVE online is. New capsuleer should think before downloading and throwing himself to the wolves. Same with other online games, possibilities of getting character killed are very high.
If don’t like character always dying in game you play Single-player and if that is still too hard there are cheats and trainers and Cheat Engine.
EVE is a game to die for.

Replying under heavy influence yet I struggle to see the point.

A New Capsuleer should be told better yet warned that there could be scams and ship loss when first logging in.

At present there must get be a desire to download and create a new pilot.

Decide the faction and mind you there is an excellent write up in the pilot creation. Where I feel this initial new pilot creation fails is that there is a sense of belonging to the faction that they decided to pick.

Once that new Capsuleer logs in they find that the faction that they decided to be a part of won’t come to their aid unless they hold high status towards such faction.

This is a false belief they belong to that faction.

I strongly suggest that a change is made to guide the new pilot to receive some form or protection other than concord.

Only other form of protection is Biomass. Play EVE isn’t mandatory.

It’s not hard to think of a possible solution.

How difficult would it be to program a small fleet of factio Diamond NPC s to accompany the new pilot for their first 39 days that only guard them from pirate players?

It would result in a greater requirement of a single ibis fitted with T2 blasters to gank their venture or a catalyst.

The point I am making is that the new pilot decides the faction and right at this moment that has zero support other than running missions to gain status.

There needs to have change to the current deployment into EveOnline to maintain a future that suits the new Capsuleers to stay longer than the current statistics.

/in layman terms, kick the can down the road and CCP will find New Capsuleers will stay longer.

This shows that ganking is not a problem.

They’re not thinking of any possible solution because they don’t feel there’s a problem.

They don’t want to do that. Sink or swim is the motto.

Bad game design, or a total disregard for PvE.

Doesn’t look like it’s a priority.

Well at least we have CSM members who focus more on new Capsuleers which offer advice to prepare pilots who aren’t informed about the necessity tactics to rise above and fight through any struggles that may cause the new pilot to quit before experiencing New Eden full offerings.

Sorry for the word salad @Uriel_the_Flame
