Everyone is reporting that if you get a 2-3 battleship spawn in the last room on a F5 filament - it’s game over. It doesn’t matter what you bring - you simply do not have enough time. Do not pass go and do not collect your pod.
Exactly. You just run out of time , because of lack of DPS to chew the EHP of those.
If anything the meta for F5s is evolving to T2 fit with zero implants, because it’s a 50-50 proposition on making it back.
They removed the time limit btw, so you can slowly chew through them, this was last night so must have been a recent change.
Not sure how that helps if there is a time limit when it goes live.
Don’t you think any changes they make during the testing phase will go through to live? would be silly to make balance tweeks then go back to phase 1 on live lol
Well if that is true - i haven’t got time to get on sisi today - it changes everything, supposing it will be implemented on TQ .
I’ve run 12 sites today some had timers some didn’t on all the timer one si made it back before 20 mins but since i timed all of them i had 2 dark matter field sites that went beyond 20mins and i didn’t die in fact the longest dark matter site i did was 26 mins and a bit
Yea I ran a 21 min site and didn’t explode either was a gamma.
they could have just turned off the timer on some variations of spawns to see average completion times it’s much harder to judge the times if your test subject never finish.
OR some sites are meant to be timed because they have certain criteria inside like frig swarm plus supressors and only 1 bs spawn who knows
Yea the frig spawns are really fast and the BS spawns are slow as all hell, so I guess if you get 3x BS spawns your will definitely go over 20 minutes.
i also think they mustve reduced the hp on the frigs they feel faster to kill
Why should you only need 1 ship?
- They tell you the main effects if you can’t get a ship that has a benefit in those sites you shouldn’t do it… sell the filament,
If there are some sites that are currently impossible then so be it
- risk = isk
- The T5 will drop pirate “equivalent” BS BPC worth a lot of isk and you can base out of HS… if the random chance is 50% of the time you are guaranteed to die well that is called balance
- or should the new content allow null sec isk making with HS risk? (no pvpers interfering with pirate BS loot drops possible and no chance of dying in the site because that would be “unfair” to the HS care bears)
Current drops I see are 5 run bpcs def better than deds
Those ships are going to be super cheap thou lol! probably slightly more expensive than t1
I tried in Eagle and got 95% misses with turrets on frigs - without drones I would fail. Seems like drone boats are only way to run those sites.
A better than 50% chance of dying in a F5 Abyssal pocket is not exactly what I’d call “balanced”.

You haven’t been lucky enough to get 2-3 heavy Automata Supressors that cover a LARGE portion of the entire space in a pocket yet have you ? Haven’t ran sites that high or just not enough of them to ge ta nice bredth of the spawn RNG ?
Yea, the frigs is what kills me most of the time too. I tried several turret boats, including blaster and autocannons with 80ish tracking + web and even then still had trouble hitting them.
Your only hope is to fly to your nearest Tracking Support structure for the tracking bonus, but then you are completely dependant on spawn RN cause if the structure is opposite of loot / gate you will still lose too much time killing the frigs and still lose your ship and pod on the final pocket timer.
the Heavy supressor kill this drones the problem is that the small drones have logistic drones withem you can identificate them, becuase they don´t target you.
if you kill those rats they all gone to die.
All Structures need there way to Handel. Its a liite bit bad that the tracking Pylons don´t made the falloff and optimal a bit Higher. The Tracking only Help With Enemys who Really come in Close Combat and thats only ca 50%
I was under impression tracking helps as long as you have the buff on you. you can reload to long range ammo if you use turrets, missles may need to switch script on the comp which is tricky cause of its long duration, too difficult to time it right.
the regular drones do not give me issues, even the rep ones, its the sleepers that get me, they have larger size drones that all just take a long time to take out using supressors. and due to RNG you will end up with those large sleepers and only a ligth supressor sooner or later like I did, guaranteed.
