I see. So instead of striving for more diverse ship applications or new faucets for encounters or rebalancing the meta with hardcounters or embracing the new glorious capital-sized world, people simply decided those ships are “too useful to exist” and now must be somehow expunged from existence. I expected something along of these lines
indeed. Because he is
He is unable to make a point in a conversation or to understand a complex argument. So just simplistic affirmations which are the mark of the narrow minded.
CCP has demonstrated a complete inability to balance capital ships, at this point “delete them entirely” would be a better solution than hoping for this to somehow magically change.
I just gave you an example of a single fighter jet bringing down a destroyer. We have actual real-world examples of a few fighters taking down larger ships that cost many times more, and are many times the size of the fighters.
I didnt make up these examples because I needed to exist in a universe where people like Luke Skywalker can do heroic things like destroy larger ships in smaller fighters. This is happening in real life.
You mean, like with a Dreadnought vs a frigate?
My example wasnt an aircraft carrier. It was a Guided missile destroyer. Please make an argument as to why navies dont need destroyers.
Your “Worst case scenario” is that no entity would be able to own and operate titans anymore.
Increasing the scorpion damage by 10% will not have the worst case scenario of every single player using a scorpion. Ever. Its not enough damage output to justify a change for every doctrine to scorpions.
Okay, then post how much it should be with the relevant arguments to back up your claims.
You mean like FAXes?
No, your Points 1 and 2, were actually in response to my frigate doomsday comment, and not my station comment. You dont seem to be very good at following a discussion.
But when you ask someone for an explanation why, for example, a titan shouldnt cost more isk to produce, and they come back with “Because I want to own a hundred titans, therefore they should cost only a billion isk each to produce”, youre going to point out that thats a poor, stupid reason, right?
And when they say “I have other reason though, its just a side thing, thats completely a personal opinion and isnt relevant to anyone but myself”, youre going to ask him why he was stupid enough to post something if he knows its a poor reason, a poor explanation, right?
Thats exactly how I feel.
No, it was genuinelly a valid point from a certain point of view. I expected it because when it comes to capitals “adapt or die” shouting quickly transforms to “stop the capitals” shouting.
I “meh” both.
with enough drugs, any point can become valid from a certain point of view.
You know like you are stoned and you have a lot of very good ideas. And the next day you think about them and “that was ■■■■”.
Well, he is constantly stoned.
You know this kind of stupid idea “too much pollution from cars, let’s remove all the cars man”.
“too much imbalance with capitals, let’s remove capitals”.
And in real life people are questioning why we have big expensive targets for those fighters to kill.
You mean, like with a Dreadnought vs a frigate?
Correct. Currently a dreadnought vs. a frigate is a draw: the dread can’t hit the frigate, the frigate can’t break the dread’s tank. Neither ship is a useless punching bag that exists for the sole purpose of being blown up spectacularly by the heroes.
Please make an argument as to why navies dont need destroyers.
Guided missile destroyers exist to funnel money into the pockets of the contractors that build them.
Your “Worst case scenario” is that no entity would be able to own and operate titans anymore.
Which is only slightly different from the scenario of only a few very powerful entities being able to own and operate 1-2 titans. You keep arguing that upkeep costs will cripple the use and ownership of titans while ignoring that a massive reduction is the entire point.
Okay, then post how much it should be with the relevant arguments to back up your claims.
100,000 ISK. It’s a T1 industrial hull with a bridge and no module slots. All it can do is sit in a safe system and activate bridges.
No, your Points 1 and 2, were actually in response to my frigate doomsday comment,
Stop lying. My comment about lore reasons that you objected to was a direct reply to your “what about stations” objection. Go back and look at the original posts if you need to.
With upkeep costs I will immidiatly leave the game. I will pause the game for some time without penalty for this.
Is this a real proposal or envy?
Pure envy, it seems.
I can’t afford it so neither should other players be able to afford it.
I mean, if there was a real argument besides ‘I want to make it impossible for players to use capital ships’, we could have a normal discussion about the points that capital ships still are too strong in and how that could be changed so they fit better in the game.
But no, it seems people would rather have capital ships be deleted from the game.
and still try to find indirect way because they know their idea is just bad to start with.
What a bunch of hypocrites. At the same time it’s very common on the forum. People just full of spite try to remove other people fun in the game …
Sorry kids life is not fair. And making insults does not make your posting better.
I have various super capitals basically everything except faction titans.
It’s time for upkeep of superclass.
Envy? I have caps.
CCP HAS issues with? CCP is ONE corporation…clarification please. Hard to read a post when the first sentence makes no sense.
@0Lona_0ltor
I see what you are saying. Others immediately misconstrued it to mean “upkeep for all ships” when you were actually saying “upkeep for capital ships”.
While it’s a decent idea, CCP will never implement it. CCP only cares about Bots and Whales because they make CCP more money with less effort than catering to the masses makes with much more effort.
CCP is a corrupt piece of ■■■■ at this point. Honestly we should be suing them for fraud for lying about their stance on botting.
Hint for the clueless: I have max skill capital ships and can easily afford to fly them. They’re still an unbalanced mess of a class that is broken on a conceptual level and there is no sign at all that CCP is capable of fixing them. Total removal of the class would be better than what we have now and for the foreseeable future.
Seems I have misjudged you, I thought nobody would be crazy enough to rather have CCP to delete a ship class rather than properly balance them, except out of envy.
Fixed that for you. CCP properly balancing them would be nice but they’ve utterly failed to do so in all of their previous attempts so why should we have faith in their ability to do it in the future? The only reasonable solution here is to accept that capitals are going to be broken and put a sufficiently high tax on them that they rarely appear on the battlefield.
Translation of my previous post, as you missed it: I thought it was envy, but it seems you’re just crazy.
Sorry, I assumed that your “crazy” comment must have been a typo because nobody would deliberately say something so profoundly stupid. But I guess if you insist that you meant to say it…
“Let’s delete all these ships, that will surely fix the problems!” is crazy talk.
Do you know what would ‘fix’ all of EVEs problems at once? delete the game
That’s the kind of fix you’re proposing. It’s literally crazy.
