Flying anything less than that right now is just avoiding the real issue with the Invasions.

They seem fiddly and awkward to me, but I dont tend to be fleeted much to see them work properly.
That might be the case to some, though bringing forward the fact that a pilot can decide who to fight for.
Triglavian hunter or defender is the current option and if an Alpha pilot wanted to chose the defender then would it be too hard to ask that they can fly a Triglavian ship by any chance without Omega?
It couldn’t possibly be that your personal situation is so that your alpha account(s) can’t fly them but you’d like to? And that it’s not really a “for the betterment of the game” thing?

Is this not the sole, singular, and wholly intended difference between Alpha and Omega? You want access to all the cool stuff you plex or sub. You want access to all the new content you plex or sub. An alpha player has no expectation of access to everything. Being Alpha is being excluded. That’s the point.
You don’t need a trig ship to participate in the invasion.
It’s not like what Alpha clones can use isn’t very well communicated. You don’t get all the cool stuff. You want all the cool stuff you sub up.
Do you complain that the free demo of a game doesn’t include the whole game for free? Buying plex doesn’t entitle you to anything. Spending plex on omega entitles you to those things that Omega allows. You spend your plex on other things, and get what you pay for.
You don’t really have a basis for complaint here.

So what I am taking away from this thread is that the title should be renamed to read Alpha - is NOT FUN?
If you want the full content then go Omega…this is not complicated…

Alpha is the free trial. This game has never been anything other than a subscription game even if CCP has been generous enough to give you some of the gameplay without a subscription.

Maybe even more than a std omega paying amount and still be treated as a non paying customer by the community.
We are at the start of the third and final installment in the year-long Triglavian Invasion expansion.
Let’s open the Triglavian to Alpha Capsuleers and offer them the ability to train and fly Triglavian ships.
Let’s not…Alpha’s already have more than enough things to do…

Alphas are welcome in the Invaded sites too, they are out there fighting side-by-side with their fleetmates. Nothing stopping them… from having fun!
Invasion effect for capsuleers is to put more work into flying their spaceships. If they like it or not.

And they could spend those PLEX on Omega. If you want Trig ships, spend your PLEX on Omega.
Subscribing players don’t get permanent skins for free and they don’t just get given hundreds of millions of ISK from the TTT market purely because they’re subscribed.
Try buying Omega with your PLEX instead of selling it for ISK.

Absolute nonsense. Follow that approach through to it’s logical conclusion and you may as well give everyone as many free Omega subscriptions as they want, on demand - at which point CCP goes bust and Eve disappears.

If I nunderstood correctly the OP was complaining because the new content reached him regardless of being an omega or alpha clone. In my opinion that is also the only viable option. Otherwise Alpha clones could haul, mine, explore etc. without being attacked of the invaders. That would make no sense.
Any pilot can and does participate in the new content regardless of being able to fly in Triglavian ships. You do not need to sit in a Triglavian ship tom make one explode.
