This is very much off-topic and should be closed,
You could go Omega - or has that already been mentioned ??
Spoilsport…
As a null sec resident that was shouted down on these forums when I complained about the blackout by the high sec “adapt or die” crew… I have to say I am LOVING invasions so far!
You are both as bad as each other tbh.
Blackout was good for the game and so is this.
Those strange fellows that live in wormholes seem to handle it just fine.
No it wasn’t else CCP wouldn’t have reverted it. PCU dropped from 30k to 20k and CCP revenue dropped $2.4m in PA’s financials for Q4.
I suppose if you review Blackout in terms of hunter playstyle you could argue it was great to be spoon fed free kills, but for all other metrics including, and most importantly, financial success to a company like CCP, it was a massive failure.
You appear to have lost sight of the fact CCP is a business which needs to pay salaries/expenses and turn a profit somewhere along the lines… like the rest of the Blackout sheep.
You’d have a point if null seccers were able to close their own stargates during Blackout.
Wormhole ratting was way safer than null ratting during Blackout, roll your connections and rat your heart out without any fear of being caught + no risk of being cyno’d on by blops.
Not to mention ratting in a c5 was 500m+ isk/hour with rattles, your average tick for each VNI in null at the time was 18m.
Risk/reward was wayyyy off compared to WH space, which is why players stopped doing it and unsubbed and CCP eventually reverted it because they lost players/money.
Remember to give me your isk so someone can use them
Black out was great. Unfortunately many in null talk about content but ran and took their toys out of the sandbox when earning isk in null started to be risky.
Same with the invasion, as soon as the Trig Support Force saw that they would have to deal with groups who shoot back they ran for the comfort of hi-sec.
CCP can only do so much to create content. Anymore effort on their part and you may as well stop calling it a sandbox.
They will not. They will beg for more free stuff as alphas have been doing since introduced. Alpha state should be killed with a spade.
Bear’s in both area’s … who knew?
I think we are playing different games. I spent over 2h in fleet working for trigs… in low sec system. It is just that we didn’t really know what to use for running this content. Now things are better understood.
Nonsense. Remember, “good for the game” and “good for CCP’s profits” are not the same thing. Blackout was good for the game, it was just bad for CCP’s profits because CCP makes a lot of money from nullbear farmer trash.
spoon fed free kills
Then maybe nullbear farmer trash should have stopped spoon feeding people free kills? This is something they had full control over, but instead of putting effort into their continued safety they whined and cried and threatened to cancel their subscriptions until CCP gave them back their PvP avoidance tool.
You don’t want to force people into PVP.
You may think if you take away the option for Non-PVP play, then players will be forced to PVP?
No. There is always a third alternative: find another MMO.
That’s why a long lived MMO must NEVER EVER EVER take away an option, if you can avoid it.
Those care bears pay for a portion of your experience. You should appreciate them instead of hating them for it.
Good. “Go back to WoW” has been a thing in the EVE community for a reason.
That’s why a long lived MMO must NEVER EVER EVER take away an option, if you can avoid it.
Then why does CCP take away my option to kill anyone I want in highsec without CONCORD?
Sure.
And there’s no more game, no more server. Nothing.
I like having someone there to pay for it all (in real life). Are you too stupid to like that too?
It would be better for EVE to die with dignity than live on in shame and humiliation as a menial farming game for people who are too weak and stupid to overcome even the slightest adversity.
Entertainment is about “Keeping them wanting more”.
Care bears are basically gambling addicts.
They know the market will never really yield a profit for high sec industry. But somehow they keep thinking it will. So they sub, and they buy plex. Day after day. Month after month.
Their adversity is working for weeks, only to turn a 0% or maybe 2% profit.
They’re true cash cows.
If you let them get PVP’ed when they don’t want that, they’ll just get tired of it and go.
PVP
Many pvp’s just want someone to victimize. They can find plenty of fights against other PVP but it’s not quite satisfying.
They want to crush someone’s hopes. Flush a nerd’s head in the toilet. Just be mean to someone who might go home to their mommy and cry.
Even if they only get to do it once every 2 or 3 months (when a foolish carebear strays from high sec). That will keep them engaged.
Make it easy, and they would face no real adversity.
