we better stop yapping and get back on subject.

Invasions trap nobody, everyone gets a warning about the system being invaded, enter at your own risk.

yes, it’s been fun for sure

I can’t, although it can be a hard lesson to learn, losing a ship isn’t the end of the world, instead of blindly going in maybe next time they’ll look before the leap?

there is a warning, warnings usually prompt investigation before proceeding, some people just ignore warnings, that’s their fault not the games or anyone elses.

oh i’ve been there, a long time ago now for me, but yea, oooohhhh low sec, i heard guys saying the ore in there is worth a lot (to a newb) so grabbed a ship, entered the system, warped to belt and started to mine. left with a full cargo thinking yes  nice one. left system, back to high sec unloaded and headed back.

got to the belt, started to mine again  ships lands beside me and pop!

guy convos me and says, you there? i say yes and he says oh!, thought you where afk, ya never moved, i said i never got a chance :joy: just started playing last week.

the guy says damn, sorry dude, he gives me 10m shows me how to fit my ship and then tells me how not to get caught.

I and my corp spent the next few years having epic little cat and mouse games and combat with the same dude and his corp mates.

he knew well what he was doing, he didn’t want to chase away the new meat  he wanted to teach it enough so it was decent content in the future.

i guess some people just refuse to learn or hit a wall of some sort, i’m all for helping the new guys, but not help to the point it hurts the game.

I understand what your saying. Lowsec tussles while mining, huffing or exploring resulting in a successful GTFO certainly gives u a sense of VICTORY IS MINE!. Instilling that in n00bs is hard.

However, after you’ve played a while you accept the consequences of your decisions and move on. The trouble is that newbros don’t even know what the consequences are. If they’re gaming life has been an experience of being led by the hand then Eve’s mentality is a shock.

We need more new alphas and more of them subbing, I don’t see Trig traps helping that.

What CCP did get right is introducing alpha level co-op play, I know many who really enjoy the Minor Conduits. CCP should take a lesson from this and promote alpha co-op across the board. Cos in the end we all like pretty explosions but the main reason we play Eve is the community side of it (I believe).
