Yesterday there was a new player in the system I live in, (new to the system not a new player).
He was doing a Crimson Harvest site I warped to so left him to it, but I did send him a message asking him if he would turn the wrecks blue so I could salvage them, and promptly got the convo rejected, so yeah players can and do make the EVE experience bad.
You seem a bit too fragile to live on this side of the gate if a rejected conversation merits this much to you.
It doesn’t, i’m just making a point that there’s a lot of players completely unwilling to interact with others or help to keep the dscan clear of empty wrecks, and before you mention it yes I could remove them…

To succeed as a capsuleer, you need a thick skin and full guns.

I don’t pvp. I did sit on a gate camp once though down in NS with a corp I was In but it wasn’t my cup of tea despite getting on a few kill mails.

I would have rejected your convo purely based on asking me to abandon wrecks so you could salvage. There is no reason to do this as salvaging any wreck is allowed by concord.

How does it look like it could be a scam though?
Turning them blue simply lets someone loot without any consequences as well as salvage, that’s all.
I’ve done it in the past including null when I have been busy and had to go, it’s no hardship.
I think the biggest problem is players suffering from paranoia, not every player is out to try to kill you
