Is EVE too complicated?

All those things you have complained about.

Like what?

You don’t remember what you have been complaining about?

Maybe complain less?

You are hilarous

 You’re daft. Whatever my killboard is doesn’t change the fact that EVE is a PvP game… even if I don’t plan to have one. I could play the game and never appear on a killboard.

If its a PVP game how can you play it without doing any PVP?

You need to actually play the game. You’d ask less stupid questions, I promise.

Complexity is good. What is not good ( and EVE does suffer from this to some degree ) is, for want of a better term, lack of obviousness. So much of EVE is not intuitive at all. Partial knowledge is a bad thing…because you don’t know what you don’t know and thus you never look for it.

@DeMichelle_Geniale Its not a PVP game if you can play it without doing PVP

While it is true that obscure arcane knowledge and uncovering it is part of the EVE experience I don’t think it is too bad in that regard and there is always room for a player to improve their knowledge of the game by just reading about it.

This of course means people might have to spend time on out-of-game resources but I think if someone finds EVE interesting then it is a rather positive experience learning its nuances.

This dedication will make the difference between a true (player) skilled EVE player and an average one, and the best thing is you can’t buy (p2w) this experience, yet it is all freely and openly available by just doing a websearch, so in that sense it is not just fair but is the opposite of pay 2 win as well.

Of course it is. It happens everyday on Tranquility and no one bats an eye.

That’s totally fallacious, because its a multiplayer game that is not dictated solely by what you do or want. It most definitely is a PvP game because anyone can make you a target…whether you want it or not.

Non-PVP likely making up most of the action on TQ.

One concept you need to get used to: Just because you can write it doesn’t make it true.

It doesn’t mean its false either.

Why are you being so complicated? I thought you liked simplicity.

Maybe it should be made a requirement to can post on the forums that people actively play the game?

Maybe he is forced to post by a higher power? :eyes:

Hey @Bakster_Kane wink twice if ChatGPT holds you hostage and forces you to constantly post nonsense on this forum.

Its tempting to prove that EVE is mostly PVE but who really cares about the facts. We are just here to fling ■■■■ and jerk off :sweat_droplets:

Truth, at last. You’re a better man for admitting that.

When I was looking for why one of my alts in a Tengu had over 200 DPS more than another in the exact same fitting, there was nothing at all obvious about 130 DPS of this being due to lack of a level V subsystem. There’s nothing immediately available ( maybe its in some obscure place ) that actually says ‘level V will increase DPS by X amount’.

I eagerly await the ‘train this character to the same level of skills that other character has to fly this ship’ function from CCP
