Is Hisec ganking good for the game?

Cuz we aren’t stupid.

Lack of friends perhaps?

All my friends are multiboxing.

I don’t talk to singles.

So what?

The aim shouldn’t be to drive out one part of the community so that another part of the community can fly risk free in billion ISK ships, with no regard for their own safety at all.

The game is rich because it provides room for everyone and the balance is fine as is. There is effort on the part of the gankers and very simple ways to make their aims even more difficult to achieve.

Giving freighters more fitting options so they have a different balance around ganking is fine. Then they all just become DSTs with much smaller cargo capacity; and the carebears will whie that they want their cake and to eat it to.

The aim seems to be nothing short of existing carrying capacity in a freighter, with the abilities of a DST.

CCP is never going to implement that and thankfully so.

Well they ended up being driven out of the game because they had no way to counter it, giving up was the only option. And I can see you are fine with it, but we all know that, why bother replying.

That’s right. This has been going on long enough that I’d forgotten the threads origins. I honestly don’t know how hauling contacts work, can one break the cargo into several trips to help lower the chances of getting ganked? No matter the context(mining, hauling, combat, whetever), I still say no pity for those who are afk. That’s was what I was driving at in particular.

Dracvlad, you just gotta accept that you’ve lost.

Your era ended. James is gone, loyal is gone, they are all gone. Your enemies are gone. However, CCP didn’t side with you. They didn’t support you. They supported ganking in Highsec. CCP believes that carebears should die, for the good of the game.

Your enemies are gone. They’ve already got successors. Who has descended from the lineage of Dracvlad? Nobody! It’s over. You lost.

I dig this.

No they cannot break the contract into smaller chunks. I used to haul for friends but I did it without courier contracts on a trusted basis. So I could move things through, however there are some cargo’s that you need to use a freighter and those needed a hisec to hisec WH to get through.

I have no pity for people doing this AFK, but the players I knew did not play AFK.

Actually I helped get bumping changed to something more realistic, I will take that as a loss. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yah, it’s over! You lost! You are finished. You are done. You can move on to Minecraft or Farmville or whatever nonsense floats your boat. Just go.

The forums don’t need you. Bye!

Playing Cyberpunk 2077 on very hard, what’s not to like.

Getting impatient on the DLC’s though…

Ok! Byeeeeeee!

They chose to leave because they couldn’t apply basic safety to their own high-end activities.

Gankers aren’t asking for the game to be made easier for them (although they have done in the past). At the moment (and always), it’s the carebears.

There’s no evidence that Freighter pilots are leaving the game at a higher rate than anyone else. It’s CCP’s actions, particularly in relation to PVE that seem to be the biggest cause of active player decline. Ganking isn’t even a close second.

Yet, making the game easier so people can fly around highsec with greater safety, will definitely lead to the game being different to what it is and always has been. That’s the biggest BS part of the whole thing.

Players come and start the game and then complain that it’s too hard and then take their bat and ball and go home because CCP doesn’t bend to their carebear needs.

Good riddance to them.

I’ve never been ganked.

How am I still playing the game, and having fun, and being successful - I live in Highsec, but I just do not seem to have the same problem.

As someone with very limited hauling experience, what you’re saying leads me to think that the larger scale hauling operations are not meant to be “soloable” content. I can understand that it sucks if there’s stuff you want to do solo but can’t(for instance, I can’t afford or defend an upwell structure solo even though I would like to), but that’s also the nature of the game.

Even if they had several accounts, at the end of the day that only gives them the ability to know for certain that there is a bumper at the gate and dock up and log out.

I never said that, I said that several hisec freighter hauling players that I got to know during a period of time in AG all quit because they could not continue.

Only because they aren’t good enough at the game. There are many options that do not involve docking up. That is the approach of the defeated, without even being engaged.

Dracvlad, I live in Highsec.

I’ve never been ganked, and I’m obviously moving freighters full of loot.

Clearly, your people are doing something wrong. Come gank my freighter. Like, can you even find it? There’s an Aiko freighter, more than one. Come get em, or just shush and sit.

So start detailing the options, I said WH’s as one, any others?

Not play AFK, as if…

What about fleeting up with combat and logistics ships for the journey? If a ship is shot in hisec, can the rest of that ships fleet engage the aggressor(and rep the hauler) without having to worry about concord?
