You don’t need an alt. Just leave a cloaky ship in a station in the zones next to it. Switch ships, scout, come back if you believe it’s clear.
But also low sec isn’t always as dangerous as people make it out to be.
I’ve heard that courier contracts are often scams. If you know the person offering the contract, you could always try contacting them, and asking them to break it into smaller parts.
Small enough for a DST or maybe even a Jump Freighter. If they’re moving ore, ask them if they would consider resizing it for an Orca.
Legit carebear courier contractors are usually just interested in moving their stuff. They don’t care about the specific format, unless it’s gonna be a headache.
Yes, but a lot can happen in the time that you switch ships, align and get to the gate to jump through as a solo character. Also people are intelligent enough to watch you. So the risk is such that it is too much for the solo hisec hauler player.
I used to do some hauling for friends, but they would contract it to me and I would move it in the most suitable ships. But this is not how the hauler system works. If CCP were to adjust this mechanic to enable this, perhaps this would be enough and negate the need for any other balance.
If that was possible than it would be a good thing for solo hisec haulers.
I must agree with that statement to take proper precautions and pay attention. I lost a ship that was more than capable of returning fire, but because I was distracted, and had my head turned the other way, I got “sploded”
LOL so I list ways and you disagree with them, yet all of them are valid. Who to hire? Send me some ISK and I can point you toward some peeps. Or maybe play the actual game and out yourself.
And no, I will not share the old ways as the old ways is what allows me to haul billions through Uedama without the gankers blinking an eye And no, its not on this char of couse you silly wabbit.
You deny my suggestions but your rebuttals simply lack due diligence. There are definite better times to haul. They are ways to stockpile ships and inventory in a way to move quick as safety windows open up. The in game intel channel is updated in real time, all the time by fellow peeps trying not to get ganked.
Its clear from your posts that simply do not want to accept that A. Ganking is a legitimate playstyle B. There are many ways in and out of game to avoid said ganking and C. Sometimes, despite all counter measures, you get ganked.
This type of game is clearly not meant for you or your friends and thats ok. I’ve been back in for a few months after an almost decade long break. Most excitement I had so far? I went ninja huffing in a WH for lulz in a venture, then had to WH hop to avoid blappage, then jumped into null then made a 40j journey back successfully avoiding blappage all to sell 2 mil ISK worth of gas.
Best 2 hours of fun I’ve had so far. I had to use every skill I learned, both old and new, to survive and get back. Those experiences is how you “win” EVE. Easily top 3 of my best experiences of playing this game on and off since 2006.
LOL I have more experience of this than you can possibly imagine.
That is just hot air, no substance…
Courier contracts, do you even know how they work?
I have never said that ganking is not a legitimate playstyle, so much for your strawman!
You say there are ways to avoid ganks but you only listed easy to refute and pretty much all that end up with docking up and logging out.
I have been ganked once, on an alt in an AF of all things doing a kill an NPC, so I went in to a belt with this character and baited them to attack me and watched them waste their ships on me.
Done all that, easy peasey for me.
Good on you for doing this.
And this is where you troll like a cry baby yourself. My suggestions are on improvement in terms of balanced game play for solo hisec haulers, the only person crying is you when I patiently explained why your so called ways to get around ganking did not work for those players.
You sold your freighter years ago, so you definitely don’t have (1) any recent experience at all; and (2) you sold your freighter because it was too risky, which itself demonstrates a lack of experience, because it is very possible to manage the risk for anyone competent.
I have two freighters actually in my possession now and have had them for two maybe three years. I used them too during this period.
At the time when bumping with no time limit was a thing and the gankers started to use cruiser sized suicide tackle I said I had no counter to it and said that I would not use my freighter. It was all about my experience and knowledge as an AG at the time, I also flew freighters with a webbing alt, but once they started to have suicide points to give time to get the bumper on I had no counter as a player with just two accounts. I needed another account to take out the suicide point, which I could not do because they often used cruiser sized tackle and I would have needed several ganker accounts to remove it, therefore I had no counter. I stand by that statement and not what you decided it was, you are wrong yet again.
However, it was a little white lie because outside of the major pipes and hubs I did use them…, I also used my two bowhead too, I went through Uedama several times with my Bowheads while at war with your alliance who we beat by the way, but I took the loaded ships through individually and reloaded when I was in a safer system. So much for telling me what I did in the game.
As I said I have more experience then he can possibly imagine.
Ah, I get it. You were lying before, but now when you need to make a different point, you are telling the truth.
“…more experience than he can possibly imagine…” is a Trump level superlative; and based on your posting over the last couple of years, it’s backed by Trump level truth.
I just don’t understand how it’s so impossible to haul cargo, but someone seems to be successfully hauling all my Catalysts… I feel like being successful is an experience Dracvlad hasn’t had.
