Is Hisec ganking good for the game?

He also has losses often, without a kill.

Here’s one on my alt a year and a half ago. Totally my fault, but I hadn’t screwed up so much that he was able to kill me.

26 gank characters and even half prepped, he couldn’t complete the kill. 26 v 1 (in this case, 1 was part of my screw up).

I deserved to die for making a lazy choice. Luckily, the not lazy choices made, swung it in my favour anyway.

In one case where I had done only the very minimum, his prep was completely undone.

You would have to ask CCP about why they have hisec. It widens the appeal of Eve, and increases the potential player base. Most games have safe or safer areas.

I disagree. Battle royale and PvP survival games are what’s popular. There’s no safe zone in PubG, or Call of Duty, or World of Tanks, or Fortnite, or DayZ, or 7 Days to Die. People want PvP, and the Highsec safe zone causes new players to leave, because EVE seems BOOOOOOORING. Safe mining and safe hauling is BOOOOOOOOOORING. That’s why half the people I shoot are AFK.

Yes, one of my contacts who runs a fleet of Osprey’s sometimes makes him fail.

But there are a number of factors involved in that failure, one of which could have been the warp in not being close enough and lower DPS due to that. There was no information on what caused him to fail, but it was likely poor warp in and he was using Catalysts that have low range.

Mining is boring. Anyway…, some people want a slower paced game, conversely if you want PvP everywhere all the time then perhaps you should be playing those games you mentioned.

Fair enough, I have no issue with AFK players getting their ships blown up.

Did you notice that both modules I suggested for freighters require ATK play?

If you want to play solo, you should be at a disadvantage in a MULTIPLAYER game.

Social play is also good play.

Being ‘solo’ is a choice. Freighters don’t have to be solo.

Freighters can join fleets. They can fend for themselves, without any buffs. If anything, they should be nerfed. It’s asinine how many Catalysts are needed to kill one freighter. It literally causes tidi and causes the game to malfunction.

If a freighter costs 2.5 bill

Freighter base ehp should be cut in half. If they click the button, it increases to the current value for 10 seconds. This will encourage active gameplay.

I am asking you for your definition of social and solo play to make sure I understand what you mean, I could guess but it needs to be clarified.

Social, well those freighter players doing hisec hauling were actually very social, they always said hello to me when they saw me in local.

If stupid people want to fly alone, they shouldn’t be surprised when other people form a fleet and hunt them down. That’s the game we are playing.

Social play is playing with others, but there are chat channels and ways to communicate like Discord, they are often being social even when playing solo which is doing something on their own, without other players. I would presume that is what you meant but I do not have a crystal ball and you do tend to be all over the place.
