Oh they certainly have - not so much for generic targets or your bread and butter ganking but people have gone to great lengths sometimes to get shiny kills from more canny pilots.
But according to some in this thread you can’t possibly know what you are talking about or have any useful input unless you are taking part in that activity right here and now
Personally I’ve been involved in the ganking of over a dozen ships which in theory automatically one ups my experience over yours if we go by the logic in this thread so far.
Failed setup, preparation, lack of adequate fittings, wrong analysis of the field, tremors, etc… you did not succeed in any of them.
You just fell on a wrong pseudogank you try to glorify.
Know the game.
You would never survive a decent gank. Not then, now, or in your dreams.
Go to zkillboard - Rroff - trophies - get a kill in high sec - there are Paladin and Tengu ganks on there - was some older ones but they aren’t on the killboard any more. Post 2012 I used a different character for high sec stuff as Rroff had the skills for capitals.
Also, bear in mind, I am going to war for something I don’t even do in game. I literally have no dog in the fight in one sense. In the larger sense tho, this is a fight for the very soul of EVE Online.
What Drac and his allies are campaigning for is nothing less than the destruction of what sets EVE apart from other MMOs. Indeed, New World is already being compared to EVE simply because of the politics of the factions. EVE has set a standard by which other MMOs in the same ilk will be judged by, for all its flaws.
The day the risk dies, is the day the game dies. What is having a trillion ISK in your wallet for if you can’t use it toward anything more meaningful than simply buying another blingy mod, which won’t be so blingy as the economy tanks because everyone has too much money and too many mods.
All trolling and snark aside. Learn to EVE. Learn the game. The learning curve is steep, but mastering it makes the game a much better experience. The meta of this game is what makes it. I’m sad that it seems like gone are the days of sleeper alts implanted in big corps to make big moves. That dude that self destructed the Titan? Legendary. The dude who ran IPOs legitly for a while and then ran the biggest one yet and escaped with bajillion ISK never to be seen again? Legendary.
These stories are what make EVE, EVE. I refuse, refuse to live this shallow life ya’ll want simply because you can’t handle getting blapped. Please quit, stop coming to the forums and go play Stardew Valley.
Bro your last kill was 2014. The Paladin gank was 2012. The other ganks was 2011. Literally 10 years ago. You have absolutely no idea of how the actual in game enviroment is now. Other than that, you were a null bear F1 monkey. You have absolutely no weight in any of this debate. Sit down.
Not quite sure what you are saying but any level of damage could happen in theory - my old alliance + friends could easily have put together setups running 300+K alpha if necesary.
This from the guy who repeats what I say and thinks it was his own idea.
That’s obvious from what I said.
No. The point is the term “high security” has given players a false impression that needs to be overcome. And that process has sparked frustration in them and those around them. Its misleading, you know it, but for whatever reason, you are denying it.
The rest of your post is just random things tossed out carelessly which serve no purpose but your desire to squirm.
Blimey, a player that defines Eve as hisec ganking by excessive multi-boxers, who pick the ship mix by use of a lookup spreadsheet, and who gave up when their unlimited point from bumping behind CONCORD was removed, OK, right…, if you say so.
