No I’m not being facetious. I have never ever seen a single fit that wasn’t complete trash. What other destroyers out there have as little dps and utility as the Corax? Even the humble catalyst evokes fear in the bads, the corax is the ultimate feeder ship.
Can someone please provide a fit that doesnt cost 100mil which isn’t total garbage and can actually engage and win against its intended target (t1 frigs)? There are t1 frigs out there with more dps, more flexible damage type, more speed and more tank than this destroyer.
I know I cringe when I try to help out a rookie (in rookie help or the epic arc) who went with the corax. With minmatar and amarr I go “oh, I don’t have a ton of experience with your destroyers, but here’s how to put together a basic loadout” and with gallente I say “that sure is a loadout, it has modules and everything, but here’s how to win fights.”
Its a pretty usual rocket brawler, dunno what’s so bad about it. As long as you don’t fit lml on it for solo pvp you should at least be able to put up a fight.
If this ship just had +1pg and +10cpu it would be SO much better and able to do its job. Firstly you’d be able to fit a t2 scam and t2 AB which would make a huge difference to the engagement profile of the ship.
I’m not even looking for a buff to hp or dps, in terms of those stats at least the fit is semi-competent. As long as you don’t be a tard and warp in to zero on a gun ship you stand a good chance of winning.

There’s really not much that can be said here, this is the fit which suits EXPERTS at range control. If you aren’t an EXPERT then DO NOT fly this fit. It has substantially less ehp and a particular weakness to EM (obviously) however if you pick your fights correctly and range control like a king you will be dropping some very heavy dps at ranges your opponent can’t respond to. The TTK for several fits drops by a whole 7 seconds which is tremendous at this ship size where every second in combat pushes you closer to death and further from victory.
I find that the Corax having the reputation as being a bad ship is a bonus. With a scram web and rage rockets punching a over zealous frigate or destroyer in the face is something of a thing of beauty. It’s not a win all fights kinda ship so you’re more likely to get a favorable engagement in it. It’s slow so if you can’t get a scram and web on your target you can find yourself kited out range control is critical. In the end if I can get some good fights in a cheap ship it’s worth a look.
corax can alpha frigates in 2 volleys. i used to use an LML fit in the old FW meta where atrons were extremely common and it was an easy way to harvest idiots.
