I agree with that part. There’s no reason to get nasty. Sarcasm is healthy though, as long as it comes with useful feedback.
As far as these forum go, it’s moderated extensively so I don’t see the point to get nasty either unless one wants a suspend sanction or more definitive account actions.
That said, I like reading these forum so thank you Moderators.

That really depends on what you are looking for on the internet. Personally, I feel that It has enriched the human experience to a certain degree, but with all good things, there is always something that is bad about it too.
Internet is like a two edged knife. Depends on how to use it. It can make someone smart or stupid.
Just to add: Youtube can help someone become smarter or turn someone to become dumb.
Tiktok makes dumb more dumber.
I’ve always thought of the Internet as a huge dumpster. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
The only thing Internet brought me was the chance to do research without having a huge stack of books next to me. It saves time and that’s important cause time is money.

I agree with youtube comment, tiktok on the other hand does have a lot of videos on there to make people dumb, but there are some tutorial videos on there too that teach people to do various things including DIY building and cooking.
Not only that, but it saved you money from purchasing any of the books you used during your research. In regards to research, I noticed that there are some who are IT literate yet have trouble using search engines to find the material they want to use as resources for academic papers.
I used to be a library rat. Looked for me? You’d almost always find me in a library. I hardly ever bought books but a few from favorite authors for collection.
I wouldn’t hire anyone who couldn’t use search engines to perfect satisfaction. I used to work in IT, installed the whole shebang from IDF to local drops and was foreman on million-dollar jobs. I’d be ashamed to not be able to use internet to complete satisfaction.
Then again, people speak much but when it comes to action the room empties quite quickly.
