J&J Vaccine?

Sorry if this is off topic, I think this matters to all of us on a very basic level.

The media where I live is totally sugar coating the J&J vaccine. They talk about all the good points and then, of yes, by the way, it doesn’t work very well.

Some people are not great at math so let me break this down a few ways.

Pfizer/Moderna ~95% Effective
Means if TWENTY people get the vaccine, ONE person might still get sick
You have a 5% chance of still getting sick
Your odds are 20 to 1

J&J ~66% Effective
Means if THREE people get the vaccine, ONE person might still get sick
You have a 33% chance of still getting sick
Your odds are 3 to 1

Sugar Coating
Only one dose. To save my life, one extra shot would not be a big deal.

Spin: It was more effective in the US because of the virus variants that were in UK/SA.
Debunked: Those variants are in the US now.

Doesn’t require extreme cold to store. Unless you live off the grid this is not a benefit for you, this doesn’t make you safer, this saves the governments and healthcare companies money…

By risking your health!

Keep in mind the politicians and healthcare professionals trying to push this on YOU all got the good vaccine already…

Whatever. This belongs in OoP. The coronavirus is a joke. If the J&J vaccine means that we can issue more people green passports so that we can get back to business, then I am all for it.

There’s already a thread for this in OOPE. Keep it there, thanks.
