It’s right there in the definition, what separates sociopaths from the rest of humanity. It’s not specifically the antisocial behavior, as is exalted here. It’s the complete lack of empathy or conscience. How you could view yourself in any other light, I don’t know. I assume you’ve never self reflected enough to understand who you are. Perhaps you should ask your parents to pay for some therapy for you.

That’s not sociopathy though. Ask any psychiatrist, and they’ll tell you, it isn’t that simple. You’re oversimplifying and over generalizing it to the point that anyone and everyone is a sociopath, making the definition useless in terms of actually identifying someone as such.
I know the definition of a sociopath. Unfortunately for you, I also know and understand the fact that simply taking one aspect of a single trait does not necessarily brand you as such. For anyone actually interested in the topic I posted about, instead of the bs between a couple losers and myself, CCP has responded to my ticket. They will not do anything to remedy my situation. Apparently, it’s perfectly ok, encouraged even, to screw people over using server lag.
That speaks about the values CCP holds, and more specifically to the mentality behind the developers that built this game. It is no wonder they’ve had to seek a korean company to run their day to day.
I’m off the forums for the night. I’ll be quietly judging you all from your various threads on these forums, as well as how people act in game. Cheers.
Negative good sir, sociopath is already a general disorder. You seem to be confusing it with psychopathy.
As for over simplifying things, I’ve not called people sociopaths because they accept that ccp built lag scams into the game and wont fix it. It’s that you came on here with mocking and insults, and continued even after cold, hard information was thrown your way.
Through out the entire conversation, you and others have been projecting an emotional state that you expect, instead of the one I display.
The opinion that is was a clear violation of rules came from the multiple posts about it where gm’s have stated it is a violation. Hell, I even linked you the picture of the ticket. As i stated previously, it appears that rule enforcing on incidents such as this flip flop depending on which gm answers the ticket.
I can’t fix that. All I can do is accept the determination the GM’s give me, which you are not a part of.
The fluff in this thread as been about other issues, not the lag scam, until the last post or two. You derailed the thread for almost 8 hours.
Yes. Scamming Is, and always has been an encouraged and even celebrated part of the game.
You fell for a scam you lost some isk. Now you have a choice to make. You can either lurk around the forums sulking and declaring people to be sociopaths. Or you can get back out there. Learn from your mistake and keep going. Hell maybe even try running some scams yourself.
That is a sad, sad fact that I’m coming to learn.
I’ve already made the isk back, that was never the issue. The issue is I have a problem with game mechanics that allow for such thievery. I guess there’s a reason eve never got very popular and has had to ask foreign companies to come in and show them how to operate.
