I am coming to Jita with my very expensive Tengu almost fully loaded (440 Million Isk). I am cloaked all the way from the gate. Docking request is sent and accepted and then BAMMMM I am killed in one shot while docking into Jita!!!
I checked the billboard - these guys both hang there in Torpedo Battleship. They kill, get kill reports issued and get killed and then they are back out there doing the same thing moments later with the same ship. They have been doing this a lot for at least several days. Are they robots? How do they manage to come back online so quickly, get killed and do it again and again for days?

If you were killed trying to dock in Jita, that’s because you weren’t docking.
You likely warp straight to the station and stopped paying attention, thinking you were safe. However, when you initiate a warp to a stration, there will be times when you don’t land perfectly within Docking radius, but a couple of kilometer out. In those instances, your ship is will become targettable during the short time you slowly move towards the station, making you vulnerable to getting killed like this.
The solution is to create an “Insta dock bookmark”. This is simply just a bookmark that is well within the docking radius of the station that you warp to, so that as soon you as land out of warp, you are guaranteed to be within Docking radius, and can immediately dock without opening yourself up to vulnerability.
Try that next time.
And to answer your question, no, they’re not robots. They’re just there looking for easy kills and ganks from bad players who aren’t paying attention and don’t use insta-dock bookmarks.
They can “come back online so quickly” because nothing is stopping them from doing so. If you think reporting a ganker in Jita means they get banned or suspended, that is not the case. Ganking players is a natural part of EVE Online, but don’t worry, it only happens to bad, lazy, or otherwise poor players who don’t pay attention. You can learn to improve your gameplay so that you don’t get ganked like this.
Insta undock/dock bookmark and that tengu will still be with us. I guess everyone need to learn that hard way. But I bet gankers will enjoy all salt from this topic.
No, I was using a covert ops cloak all the way to Jita. When the docking request is accepted the the ship uncloaks as it docks. There was one second and one shot from all cannons and it was over.
I don’t know what instadock is but will look into it. And yes, I should have put hardeners on. I thought I was protected by the covert ops cloak,
If you want to explore high sec, you will need to obtain a mining permit, so that we can register your visa. We can’t just have any old illegal spy traipsing in from some dusty wormhole.
What happened is that CCP decided it was a fun mechanism to make your ship not land right in the station, but 2km off the docking radius of the station. So while your ship approaches the station it is an easy target.
So in essence, you need to place a BM withing the docking radius -2500m of the station, then when you set route to that station, not click “dock” but instead, warp to the BM and then click auto pilot. The AP will allow your ship to dock as soon as it exits warp, while your computer can’t do that.
You get carbon when you hack the containers. I am not a lazy explorer. I take everything and don’t leave stuff so that the relic and data sites close, respwan and doesn’t waste other players time. ?any explorers just take the lucrative items and split leaving the site still there. If you look closely you will see Sleepe Data Library and the blue loot.

Yes but I was using a covert ops cloaking device all the way to the Jita gate docking radius. I was on autopilot. I reach the radius border. Docking request is sent and accepted. Ship uncloaks. I will check into the book mark thing. Appreciate it and if I decide to keep playing I will always have hardeners running.
Remember CCP added expresselly “features” to make “basic” gameplay complete ■■■■:
AP warpo you 7km from the gate so you are an easy target. It’s not an AP but an auto suicide.
warp dock warps you 0-2500 m from the station so you are an easy target.
unless you understand those two concepts (which are not present in Eve description anywhere) you will easily get ganked when docking in Jita IV. Also, use an insta undock too.
so the only way to make “correct” gameplay is to never use AP unless warping to insta, and to never warp to something other than an insta.
I will look into the insta dock and undock. However, I was cloaked all the way to the docking radius of 2500 m. That is when the ship uncloaked to dock. It was one second. The screen went blank for the docking and I entered as a pod. So insta dock I take it puts me inside the station. Is that correct?
Are you sure about the cloak being active? Auto-piloting in Jita-undock can be dangerous as anything that gets within 2000 meters will uncloak you and that is the busiest undock in the game. Most likely something had uncloaked you just prior to docking and you were instantly ganked.
