I donāt think there are many pilots that fall into this category. What people mainly seem to be against is non-consensual PvP, and more specifically non-consensual PvP in highsec. PvP outside of highsec, wars and non-combat PvP (incursion contests, limited resource competition, etc) seem to fine to most of the anti ganker crowd.
I expect trolling, sure, but Iād still rather not have my ignore list bypassed by other people quoting troll posts.
Yeah I agree. Itās hard to not take it personally when people direct personal attacks at me though. Such as @Altara_Zemara constantly calling me a troll because I donāt switch sides and agree with her when she states her opinion.
Yes, very similar. They even have the same penchant for abusing the flagging system to silence anyone or anything they donāt like.

Normal discussionā¦try it some timeā¦consists of person A making a point and person B responding. And after a few back and forths, the discussion ends. Except in our case we both make our points, then you declare my points ānonsenseā, start criticizing my killboard then call me a troll. I need to learn to stop responding when you get to that point and just report your posts. I always chomp down on that bait.

I had been generically discussing the topic, then gave a recent example, and straight away you leap in with the personal comments like " All that tells me is that you are risk averse. You then spend the rest of the thread doubling down on your ad hominem.
And then you, in your utmost hypocrisy, have the sheer gall to make out that you are the one being personally attacked. You do this behaviour again and again and I am sick of it to the point where it is about time the ISDs noticed.

I donāt see the problem with it, anywhere. Thatās what the game is about: You Will Blow Up. Itās not a question of āifā but when. Be on your guard, donāt fly any ship you canāt replace, know your surroundings and who is within D-Scan rangeā¦ then sometimes you have to accept Itās your turn

Yeah, neither do I thought Iām not as adamant that it must be that way. Iām fine with CCP making changes to the dynamic if they feel they are needed. Some people have a different view and thatās fine too. When you present anyone who doesnāt like ganking as āanti-PvPā though, thatās not being honest.
The problem, at least in my opinion, is that āgankingā doesnāt really exist. Itās a made-up word to describe actions that, within PvP parameters, are perfectly allowed by game mechanics, lore and the game developers. In other words, ganking is PvP and EVE is a PvP game. What that PvP may look like or where it is exercised has no bearing on it.
So itās not about honesty here itās about definitions of words.

By the same logic, then hot dropping and gate camping donāt exist.
Of course they exist and of course they are all pvp, just labels for specific, common types of pvp. Suicide ganking, usually contracted to just ganking, very much does exist and is just one specific form of pvp restricted to illegal aggression in highsec.

Many gankers do portray any one who makes a stand against ganking as anti-pvp and also remember many that write on this thread are in fact gankers and criminal types, so they like to throw that label around a lot.
However you think about what ganking is, it is in fact a tool to be used as an individual sees fit, we use it to kill hard to reach players administrator our Justice, whereas Safety and code take part to bully and misbehave, all allowable in the game.
Just because I donāt want to kill a fat bloated hauler out of existence, doesnāt make me anti-pvp just the same as many other AG players.
Also remember honesty is not a natural trait for the likes of the Demon Princess.
( although getting to know more and more gankers I find I have been wrong on many occasions, which is nice to find out and reminds you itās a game and we play a role)

And regardless of oneās feelings one way or another while or after a gank, it must come down to: itās PvP. It says it right there on the box.
It would be like someone signed up for the army and then when the shooting starts he says āI didnāt sign up for thisā.
Since I figure Iāll lose ships learning might as well go kamikaze.
