July Release - Strategic Cruisers

They need the sp loss for to sell more skillpoint thingies, yay getting it instantly is totally the same as spending years training for it…

Technically yes but in reality no…

The inertia penalty to the Interdiction Nullifier means that from the moment you click warp, you will not reach your destination any sooner than you would using a subsystem without the inertia penalty or the warp speed bonus.

Erm, you are doing something wrong. You can get full dps and covert cloak on the Tengu (and all the others)
From memory something like 700dps with Heavy Missiles, whilst a fairly decent active tank whilst fully covert ops cloaked.

There hasn’t been a dps reduction on the T3s… Are you even looking at the right stats?

Interesting POV.
Yes compared to the agility subsystem, there is a 4 second difference between warp starting time.
But it is for all of them and nothing special for Tengu though.

@CCP_Fozzie is not taking any more suggestions as the changes are locked in with two days to go before patch release. In reality outside of some sideline changes , most was set in stone prior to the FG being put in place anyway.

I must agree with the sentiment that anything not in line with what he , CCP, the Focus Group and those they choose to serve has been ignored and/or discarded, This is not about balance it is about creating the gameplay those with an inside track want.

Dual Universe really can’t come fast enough for me at this point (needles to say this will probably get me kicked off the forum because oh dear, a critical note is scary…)

I think you miss the point…

And it is not a point of view, it is a fact! The warp speed was added to the nulli sub to offset the slow align time, so that the net effect on time taken to reach your destination is zero.

Loki DPS is terrible on Test server.

Going throught the FG logs it’s become apparent this has yet again been another goon- and plebbit-whinefest. But I was hoping @CCP_Fozzie would have formed another FG for design matters whihc would have included people like me who work with machines and their design on daily basis.

I don’t like many of the changes, but they seem intriguing enough to not be a concern for me.

Seriously. Loki can barely push 400 dps.

Then you either don’t know how to fit a ship or you’re forgetting to overheat. You can reach around 800dps

Then don’t die. it’s fairly straight forward. Don’t fly what you can’t afford to loose.

Yep, this. The amount of people complaining about the new T3s being able to do no dps now, or have zero tank are clearly incapable of fitting ships properly

Show me a 800dps Loki fit please.

And again, the best ideas are coming from outside of the focus group, and when it’s too late. I would design these ships for w-space, with the hull role “bonus” of reducing the subsystems’ level-based bonuses by 10% in null and 15% in low and hi-sec.
They clearly can connect the bonuses to anything, so why not be creative with it? I bet they could even make a ship that gets bonus HP% based on the number of plexes you have in your vault or cargo hold.

Seriously @CCP_Fozzie why is this rushed so much? The T3Ds took a year of conversation with the focus group (even with a few months of hiatus) so why is it so important to fix this much more complicated problem in 2 months?
If it is because of the project discovery skins then screw those, I’m sure we will survive a few more months with the base colors!

Add 5x HAM. Add 3x BCUs and drones. There you go, 800dps Loki.

I assume you’ve read the logs. I find it fascinating how the only smart, as in talking in a general whole and not in FG’s typical me-me-me-me I want these stats I want that role, is from June 24th.

Can a Tengu even do C3 sites anymore without adding tons of time to site completion?

Spent a hour scanning down a C3 on the Test server… even with the new overheating bonus I exploded something fun…

Does anyone else feel the T3C of his/her flavour could need a tad more CPU/Powergrid? (Maybe it is due to me being an idiot, but I seem to fail getting more than a few decent results on SiSi with current numbers)

So tell me, if I’m the only one

  • Legion is fine
  • Legion needs more CPU/Power
  • Loki is fine
  • Loki needs more CPU/Power
  • Proteus is fine
  • Proteus needs more CPU/Power
  • Tengu is fine
  • Tengu needs more CPU/Power

Seriously though, someone mentioned in the focus group quite “early” that if you design the T3Cs for wormholes then they will be more OP everywhere else than they are now.
But citadels - and now CONCORD too - has a mechanic that would solve the case, so there is no problem to fix, you only need to fine tune the bonuses and penalties.

The bonus has not been removed. It’s only down by 2.5% per level. The agility has been slapped pretty hard, but overall you will reach your targets faster for warps beyond ~5AU than was done before.
