July Release - Strategic Cruisers

If you get more turret/launcher, you will get lesser bonus on them.

talking about t3’s only or in general?

Please can you fix the remote repair bonus on the support processor subsystem please.

10% reduction in cycle time is simply too low. It doesn’t even knock off 1 second from the base cycle.

Talking about the Loki since it was the ship mentioned in the post I was replying to.

Aren’t the remote rep bonus on this sub system activation cost reduction and overheat benefits per levels and not duration?

Correct on the activation cost but the o/h bonus is a reduction in cycle time.

But that’s how heat bonus work in all case. Unless you have module that have giant difference in OH and non-OH state, it always seems small but with the combined heat damage reduction the hull has, it adds up to a lot of rep over the length of the fight.

hmm i suppose

I’m not sure why you feel it needs to knock a full second off the repair, the T3Cs are already quite strong repair ships, and if you fit them right (albeit expensively) they can actually out-rep the T2 Logi Cruisers out to around 30-40km, and match them quite easily with overheating on a cheap fit.

Is this something about server ticks, because if it is that’s not how server ticks interact with reps and guns…

Yeah i know. I have changed my fit a bit and it’s actually not that bad. I was mainly disappointing that we no longer have the option to do good dps and rep but i guess you can’t have everything!

Expectation too high are common when talking about ships that used to be head and shoulder above what their class should have been. People will get used to it with time. Or they will quit…

Yup, pretty much this. You see the same thing with ships like the Drake or the Rifter, though in the latter’s case the current reputation is a little more deserved.

Anything that used to be amazing will look lackluster if nerfed down to the level of its peers or if everything else is more or less buffed up to meet it (as happened to the Rifter).

This is how CCP made them think so. Please forgive.

My only hope now is that once CCP recognise that the Loki is overpowered (in wormhole space) in comparison to the other T3’s, they decide to buff the others instead of nerfing the Loki.

But they always nerf their previous buff… RIP Ishtar etc.

The old logi T3’s were not head and shoulders above anything really. You could make some interesting spidertank fits that could apply damage and repair allies… but now you can only repair (not including the insignificant drone dps). The support subsystem should have a small weapons/drone bonus IMO.

Nope. Master of none is the trait of the sleeper cruisers. You want damage, fly a HAC or battlecruiser, you want logi, fly logi. Except for the tournament logi, the sleeper cruisers are the only logi boats that can warp cloaked.

You’re just parroting the same old lines without thinking…

What i just proposed would make them more generalised and flexible which is supposed to be the idea of a T3. The point you just raised about the ability to warp cloaked makes the T3 unique and there for a master in its role.

Maybe you misunderstood me, so go away and think about it… If you gave a small (5% per level) bonus to weapons, and obviously fitting weapons would mean that you have to diminish your ability to remote rep and vise versa, surly this would help the ships be more versatile as intended but not make it so this setup was able to outperform specialised ships.

Your Logi T3 already can fulfill 2 roles. Why do you want a 3rd one at the same time?
