Not that I’m skilled enough to evade it yet, but I’d imagine being hunted would actually be good fun.
It’s fun doing the hunting too , and all our killrights we get given for free , ccp does allow you to put a KR to 0isk .
I’m sure you know but what are people thinking putting a price on krs , just answering some other forum post here too
Being hunted and hunting people is fun.
One of the more difficult things to play against is a skilled player setup properly to kite with the objective to pick off tackle. Killing them without losing tackle is actually a challenge.
Many people downplay Eve PvP as being easy and not very good, but I think they are missing things like this.
I’ve been setting up various ships precisely for that purpose. The idea is the ganker ( this only works if there’s one, like when I was ganked by a Catalyst in Aurcel ) attacks me in my ‘puny’ little Condor. Hmm, who’d fit a warp core stabiliser to a Condor ? Well, I would. And I’m actually still left with 95 DPS ( without the warp stabiliser it would be 110 DPS ) and about 5000 EHP. I just kite at 20km or so and fire missiles…but really, once attacked I can just flee, and let Concord do the work, with me firing just one round of missiles to get in on the kill.
Obviously this only works against ships like Catalyst, Thrasher, etc…but then I doubt if any larger ship that could alpha shot 5000EHP is gonna bother with a Condor.
I wish there was some way to practice all this. Its the single biggest problem for noobs in Eve. Everything often happens so quickly that you really need to have practiced something 500 times beforehand.
