That false assumption is the reason for your misinterpretation of a joke. So let me clarify: It was not a comeback, it was a joke that he can even spend years or even decades building something and still not achieve it.
If you feel it as some sort of counter to your concept of playing the game then probably you should chill out a bit and not see competition in everything especially when such was not even intended.

That being said, I will forever encourage people to build.
I know itās a game, and I love explosions as much as the next guy.

No problem. And just to make sure: No I did not intend it as opposing your idea. It was just a random related story I thought is fitting to share when it comes to the concept of building things in EVE.
Most people choose to build something that can be done in the foreseeable future, some undertake on longer journeys (such as the earlier mentioned Katia Sae who spent a decade on her endeavour of exploring every system without dying, bordering the impossible but still achievable, and she did it, and I bet had fun while doing so) and then there are people like the Palatine guy who try solo building something that would take literal years or more for an entire alliance and would require years of production of the entirety of New Eden to accomplish, and he āplansā to do it solo, thatās some irony right there, but I think it is just a meme as a form of forum roleplay, because it is kinda sad to think he is serious.
Either way that is why Iāve linked his thread so people can look up the story if havenāt heard about it yet. It is about building stuff, and due to the irony of undertaking a sisyphean task such as solo building the Palatine it is ludicrous. Just sharing some fun related story thatās all.
By the way regarding the concept of building stuff in EVE: Actually it is the core concept of EVE, along with destruction, as the cycle of construction and destruction fuels the gameplay, too much of either and the balance is broken. So both are part of the game and are necessary for a healthy experience so anyone who opposes either is wrong as both are necessary.

i see alot off people have been taking this off topic lol but yeah this is just one off my many goals and one that i like to keep you all up to date on and have fun while doing so.
I have not added any off the special edition ships as well ships such as the Golden magnate, Chameleon and so on are just bonus extra ships IF ONE ever appears in my crosshairs.
This is not me trying to be a douche to EVE i just think its a fun goal to tick off every possible ship maybe if eve is still going when i complete this goal i will Build one off every ship
