So i am a new player, however this game is to become a major recreation within my life. I am not very versatile with computer hardware, so i am seeking some assistance. What is a laptop i can buy for a reasonable price that will run EVE smoothly on high graphics. Thank you for your help.

I don’t know much about the neckbeard speak, but I just leaned over and asked my husband.
Anything with 16 GB RAM or better a solid state drive, 4 core CPU, Windows 10 or 11.
Price is going depend on your location, but I looked this description up and it runs $250 to $300 US.
He also said, if you add a Nvidia RTX GPU then it could double in price to $500 to $600 US
… blah blah blah he is talking in circles.
However you can get away from all that using 12 GB RAM and a 2 core CPU with Linux OS.
… more nerd talk about destros and mints and blah, blah, blah.
I do love my husband but he can get real boring at times.

I use an Asus Chromebook Plus CX34 for my alt, it runs Fedora Linux on 8GB ram, an Alder Lake CPU who’s name I forget, 128GB UFS SSD (the bottom tier of this Chromebook model family)
Works well, but there is no sound, can’t get drivers, but Bluetooth and USB-C headphones work on it.
My M1 macbook air does an excellent job of running eve for hours even when not plugged into the wall, max graphics is a bit of a problem though, on high settings EVE has a tendency to crash.
