I like it. Maybe “sort by level” as well.
It would make making Skill Plans a bit easier too.
Suggestion: The Edit Contacts window should also show the Labels dropdown menu as it does in the Add Contact window.
Keywords: UI, contacts, edit contacts, labels
Note: If you want to edit contacts, it is also likely that you want to change labels, or you want to check what label a contact has.
To cause the watch list to appear every time you join fleet, automatically add either the FC or the fleet boss (or both) to the watch list. It only makes sense to do, plus makes it easier for newies to find it and drag new people onto it. You could make it a checkmark if you want, but I think it is near universal, can always minmize the watch list.
Suggestion: Allow the player to change the size of cursor and allow a player to use color. Us older and visually impaired players sometimes have trouble seeing that almost invisible small cursor.
Keywords: Gameplay, Settings
Note: Older and Visually impaired players.
Suggestion: Game clock shows local time and adjusted for status of Daylight Savings Time
Keywords: Game clock, accessiblity
Have the game automatically change the clock based on location and also adjusted for whether it is Daylight Savings Time or not.
Game clock shows local iceland time for a reason
Suggestion: During event tracks let completed tasks complete automatically
Keywords: events, tasks, progress, claim, automation
Note: Event task completion is very user-unfriendly and it’s easy to waste progress.
There currently is an event. One of the repeating tasks is to destroy 25 NPCs. If you don’t open the event UI to claim the task is done every 25 kills, any further NPCs you kill won’t be counted as progress to the next task.
Even worse is if the event has three succesive tasks in a cycle and you forget to claim one in time so you miss an entire cycle of ‘enter site’, ‘kill x NPCs’ ‘kill boss’ until the next site.
It would be a big QoL buff if such tasks are automatically counted as completed once eligible for completion, so that the next task pops up and starts registering further progress without player intervention.
Suggestion: In CTRL Shift F9 (no UI) mode, the bracket of my own ship should always show, even when zoomed in.
Keywords: UI, UI only, no visuals
Note: When you zoom in far enough, the bracket of your own ship disappears. This shouldn’t happen in the UI only mode where you don’t have the ship model as orientation. Constantly pressing ALT to see it is not a solution.
Suggestion: With the massive amount of Sig spam thanks to the dumb SHUB upgrades, the Probe Scanner window should tell me how many signatures and anomalies are present in a system.
Keywords: UI, probe scanning, number, shub, spam
Note: We already see how many sigs/anoms are filtered out, so it should be easy to display the number of total sigs/anoms.
Suggestion: The Tether icon should show a cycle timer when it repairs.
Keywords: UI, structures, upwell, tether, repairs
Note: It’s too obscure to see when and how long it takes for things to repair without a clear indicator.
Suggestion: Allow courier contracts to be delivered to location AND character
Keywords: Contracts, courier
Note: Currently if I want to move loot to Jita to sell on my market alt, i need to create courier contract and get my loot delivered to myself in Jita. Then i need to search my assets for the loot i want to sell, contract it to my market alt and then get him to sell. It’d be better when creating a courier contract to specify delivery location AND character to deliver to, all in one contract
Suggestion: Enable probe auto-reload when in fullscreen probe UI
Keywords: UI, probe, scanning
Note: The auto-reload feature for probes does not function when in the fullscreen probe scanner/system map UI.
Suggestion: Camera changes
Keywords: camera
Note: better way to see the environment
-
Tracking camera offset Right: Currently the tracking camera defaults the ship to the left side of the selected item (in space/jump tunnel). It would be nice to have the option to switch the ship to the Right side.
 -
Tracking camera reset to behind ship: When in warp, the selected item is dropped but camera stays looking at the front of the ship, it would be nice if the camera reset to behind the ship in warp.
 -
Dynamic camera zoom with grid: It would be cool if the (orbit) camera dynamically zoomed in/out based on the maximum distance a player/npc ship was from you upon landing.

Suggestion: Allow movement of the Timers, System name, Search bar et al.
Keywords: UI
Notes: Please see imaged below. The Search, Timers, ESS and other toggle switches like events or current combat sites, are the only part of the UI that is locked and cannot be moved. Please allow us, using the example provided in screen shots, to move for example, the purple square to where the red square is.
Suggestion: Increase number of pages available to browse in contracts.
Keywords: Contracts, market
Notes: Why is the number of contract pages limited to 10? Searches may return more than 1000 potential results, but the ones over 1000 are unreachable. Additional search keywords may (potentially) exclude desired results.
Suggestion: Lower context menu from cursor
Keywords: UI, menu, qol
Note: When right-clicking an item in the overview that is close to the right side of the screen, the context menu appears below the cursor, but the same item cannot be right-clicked again without moving the cursor up a few pixels because the context menu is in the way. Please lower the context menu so the item can be right-clicked again without moving cursor.
Suggestion: When taking out charges (ammo, scripts), let the item go to ship cargo, not to the station item hangar.
Keywords: Ship fitting, scripts, cargo
Note: Charges are meant to be swapped and I can freely do so in space. However, when preparing a ship and swapping charges and ammo out for other charges and ammo I don’t want the ammo and charges to drop to the station hangar. It’s in my ship for a reason.
If I ever forget to account for this weird behaviour I leave the station without all my alternative ammo and charges.
Let unequipped ammo and charges only drop to station if the ship’s cargo is full please.
This can be done by making a new profile under “Account Settings” in the launcher and changing the graphic settings. Alternatively you can press Ctrl+Shift+F9 to turn off the 3D environment or press ESC and Optimize Settings before the fight.
Suggestion: “Close Active Window” hotkey should immediately select another window as active (in backwards order of activity)
Keywords: ui / ux, menu, hotkeys
Note: Makes the game less clunky
The selection should go in backwards order of how windowses were interacted with / opened. As a newbie I dread docking because every menu and meta-UX in the station is clunky, and not even hotkeys help, but they really could if they worked well. Currently the hotkey is practically useless as I have to re-apply ‘active selection’ with a click, at that point I can just tediously point at and click ‘X’ with a mouse, which is clunky.
