Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread - Part Deux!

I think you’re confusing adaptation with giving up effortlessly.

This is the point where that became an issue to you? This has been the case for a decade. If anything, Hilmar and CCP are playing the game more now than they’ve been doing for some time. Of course, you’re probably more likely whining impotently about having to interact with other people who are playing the game in their way.

This is largely correct and an inevitability, unless they base out of NPC null which is also an option. Are you expecting small groups to be able to rival or match the large ones in terms of dictating what space who gets to use, or that small groups get to exploit space as well as the large groups who have actual resources to do so? That’s just ridiculous. If you want to play a smaller more nimble group, that’s what you get to play and you have to limit yourself accordingly. How is this a problem to you only now that Blackout is in effect? It’s been true since before the days of Bob.

Pick a league and play in it. Don’t join Little League and expect Nike to come shove millions up your arse.

It’s adorable that you accuse me of not understanding simple English. My suggestion is playing according to your chosen place in the hierarchies of Eve. If you want to be in a small null group, you have to play accordingly. This isn’t rocket surgery, you unfathomable moron. This has always been true in Eve: You fly what you can protect or afford to lose. If you want to be a small-group player, you might want to stick to mining with disposable ships. If you want to mine with multi-billion isk ships using multi-billion isk Excavators for it, you damn well better be able to protect it. It’s really that simple.

Yes, mining in Rorquals should require being able to have several dozen defenders appear to bail you out when your chumming of the waters inevitably attract sharks. This doesn’t require a super umbrella, by the way. Most hunters use subcaps and can be defended against accordingly. You just need the numbers and the organization, which is exactly as it should be.

Would you expect PvPers being able to just solo roam in Nyxes and Ragnaroks? Of course not, it’s absolutely ridiculous. You’re expecting to be able to do the same thing on the bearing side of thing, which is downright stupid.

Survival of the fittest. If these ‘smaller groups’ are withering away because they can’t bear uncontested anymore, then they had no worth to begin with. I’ll instead sit back and cheer on the groups I know were successful before Blackout and still utilize nullsec just fine during Blackout. They just do it commensurate with their numbers and capabilities, not pretending they should get to capital flex uncontested.

Yeah, run away, little boy. It’s just about what you’ve demonstrated can be expected of you when things aren’t going your way.

That’d probably have more heft if you hadn’t just pulled the same ‘I’m not responding to you anymore’ to me in this same thread a couple of days ago, y’know.

I gave you the last word, because there was nothing left to discuss, was there? You’d decided to attack me as a person on something as bloody subjective as trailer artwork, so what more was there to be said?

Was getting the last word there not enough? You still need more of them?

Disable all statistics : DOTLAN , industrial and military systems development ,eve map . let’s see how you cunning ass adapt

This lies there is no balance. The balance will be when the statistics are removed in the map and Dotlan .

Then in what way is it affecting you?

Seems odd

Honestly? Bye Felicia.

Seriously his entire point was that you are are lighing up the map. Fun fact it takes 20 minutes to accomplish that feat, the map updates on the same timer that your ticks come in at.

So assuming that you are capable all you have to do is move. That way there is no +1200 rats killed delta or massive indy/military index jump for hunters to key in on.

Otherwise you better have eyes on gates. We have already caught a bot farmer doing just that.

Yeah that is called interceptors.

Simple map geography tells you where things are going on. Dead end pockets, ice-belts, etc.

CCP probably thought when they increased the risk in Null to better equal the rewards, that the players in null would be smart enough to either an area of risk that they were comfortable with like lo-sec or HTFU and except that if they want the rewards they need to face the higher risks.

For those who complain and claim to have unsubbed/deleted multiple EVE Accounts & Characters etc… In EVE’s Peak times there are still around 25~30k players as usually:

EVE-Offline even shows a raise in playercount:
https://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility

So…, nothing has changed about player counts. Not even after the BlackOut.
There is nothing but lies and “empty threats” […], just like in a usual day in EVE Online.
:joy::rofl::joy::rofl::joy::sweat_smile:

guess the free skillpoint have worked …

Where do you see an increasing player count?

EVEOffline clearly shows fewer people online. On the other hand: It is not nearly as many as feared (which is unfortunate), which also goes to show that bots were not as much of a problem as people and CCP portrayed it to be an/or that bots have already been adjusting to it and are just as successful as before while actual players are more inconvenienced.

And that is nothing compared to what will hit CCP when subscriptions start expiring

There is an increase in player count since the BlackOut has started, not even a playerbase loss. Double check your facts.

The only reason for this is because CCP got the dumb idea of running SP promotions during the blackout.

Sure, that’s what it looks like to you. And the increase is because people log in their chars from several accounts to quickly farm the SP and then log off again. I do that on 7 accounts and 18 of the chars I do that with are in high sec farming NPC in rookie systems. The remaining 3 chars are in low and null where they quickly to go a random belt or anom, shoot one or 5 rats and warp back. Great stuff.

Yeah, let’s see what the near future will show us. Within current state, nothing can be exactly told. Though, a real fact is that there are still about 30k players online on every weekend, just as usually for years.

Look at long future because as I pointed a few times, many of us have 3+ month subscriptions
