and how many players like myself have returned due to the blackout.
As I have said before this is data we do not have and only CCP know and the fact that they have had the highest number of unique logins in the last 5 years does not feed into the anecdotal evidence you are presenting.
the highest number of unique logons may be true, but the lowest number of players by server activity, granted nullsec is more dangerous, but the players have ditched the game entirely, with more talking about it every day, how long before the unique logon spike is no longer sustainable against the players jumping ship, because that day is coming. unique logons arenāt enough to sustain when everyone is jumping ship.
In my opinion, the liquidation of Pilotās service (plex, injector, extractor) will have a real impact on the economics of the game. Paying in cash or with a card you will start doing what you really like in the game or you will come to the conclusion that it is not worth paying if there is nothing that makes it worth logging in every day.
Not sure a bunch of Null sec whiner babies, who have spent years telling everyone else to HTFU is much of a loss, compared to the massive numbers lost in Hi-sec over the years to the changes that made Null into an area of such massive reward.
All 35k accounts will be paid for in some way whether that is by subscription or the plex purchased from the EVE Store. It all converts to currency. The only accounts that donāt pay are the alpha accounts and I would wager that the percentage of those is not very high.
EDIT ā Although the percentage of alphaās is probably currently rising exponentially as people refuse to pay for the game while the blackout is in effect.
What āEvidenceā, You mean a bunch of whiners on a forum, whiners from the same place that used to tell everyone else for over a decade to Harden up.
You will get this answer as soon as the free SP events end. So, let see the numbers after the 26th Aug. Should be interesting to see if the current numbers hold or as i suspect, are being held artificially high as player log on everything they have for a few free SP.
I am so glad that you came back at the expense of friends I have played with for a lonog time. I imagine you left because you were bored. they left because the gameplay decisions made by CCP were unreasonable to keep paying for.
No null turned into Candy land for all the null players, which is why they are whining so much now that the risk is being increased to equal those massive rewards, on the bight side this is making industry in other areas more viable again.
while the change is clearly overbalanced, I agree with you that industry elsewhere is getting a new life. maybe that was the intent, CCP hasnāt really said what the goal was . My only real personal gripe is all the effort CCP drove into rorquals as mining platforms only to nerf them multiple times and turn them into loot pinatas for unseen gangs. CCP complained about too much mining in null, a situation they created. just shows a lack of vision and understanding of the pve gameplay
to your earlier point. they drove people away while creating "candyland? and now they are driving others away by swinging the pendulum the opposite direction. a total lack of finesse
no data, just anecdotal from friends that left NULL and set up in HS. obviously less isk, but without the daily losses or need for umbrellas Also waiting on the MER
