Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread - Part Deux!

Noisy’s good. Carneros and Brisc are good. They’re not EVE-economy folks.

Rhivre is.

Yeah, I’m going through that one too… thanks!

NPC taking sov is problematic because they can be active 24 hours a day without timezone issue, 7 days a week without being tired or distracted by real-life issue.
Also losing a ship means nothing for NPC as they just spawn more ships, but for real players you’d need to take the cost of the ship into account.

Don’t care whether you made it up or someone else did - Doesn’t change the fact it would be the fastest way yet to change Sov Nul into NPC only space.,.

I can see it now; Day trips to Triglavian Sov space, previously known as Sov Nul where paying customers of the game used to dwell, to go shoot NPC’s (CCP generated content) who hold Sov .

CCP’s answer to all their mistakes over the last 5 or 6 years give themselves via Triglavians Sov.

Thanks for looking up those number. All looks to be heading the right direction anyways.

Oh, look. CCP just made instanced PVE even safer. So much for Chaos. Go CCP.

huh. Been like that for quite a while. And looking at the KBs abyss space is one of the larger sinks in the game–a long ways from safe compared to anywhere else in eve.

The problem is how much null earns for the risk. The rewards are off the charts and so are the number of people that each system can support.

This has happened due to the CSM and the Null players that were hired as Devs. This has created a sector of space that is only now reasonably dangerous but the rewards are still to high for the risks.

Only frigate traces were not visible on dscan and not probable. Now cruiser traces are the same. All you need to do is put them off grid from literally anything, use a good fitting and you can farm wormhole level incomes in total peace without any risk of dying more often than in K-space with its lower rewards. That is not how this stuff was designed.

I remember a time when people complained that DED plexes were too hard to get into because of the gates and long travel times between in-plex gates. And now people seem to be fine with a new PVE form that is a lot more rewarding to be even saver than that. Moreover, now NPC are doing the damage and players who are supposed to engage with other players are barred from doing so. No wonder that EVE is going down the drain with these developers and players.

No thats your problem and it based on your wrong assumptions

It is not based on any assumptions.
Next guess.

Blob groups how many of those kills have double digit numbers? Or are you one of the E-Bushido tards.

C’mon you don’t have to lie to kick it.

Adapt or die argument sounds stupid to me because whenever you adapt something CCP screws it with a magic touch. If you have been playing the game for a long time you must not ask for examples because you must have seen them. In my opinion it is really stupid to give people a tool and cripple it when you see they are using it really effectively to achieve a certain goal. I changed the way I make isk for so many times and now i am tired of it. I just want to make isk the way I mastered and fund my pve/pvp activities. But I am really tired and I do not want to adapt anymore since I know I will have to adapt again in the near future again and they will change it again. I am not a botter I have only two characters and I tried mission running, exploration, belt ratting (before belts were screwed), combat sites and some other. I even went to enemy space and run relic sites and combat sites there. They changed ships (power grid, slots, etc etc), they changed drones, they changed weapons, they chaged drop rates and lowered the income and so on. People start using some certain ships for pvp and they just take it away from them (they nerf it). And finally BO. I do not care what everyone else is thinking and I do not have to persuade anyone but this BO thing was the final blow to my game style and I am really tired. And almost none of my ingame friends log on anymore. Corp channel is empty, some other player channels I join are empty, local is boring I am not playing this game to struggle with new problems. I want to learn it, develop a play style and stick to it till I am bored or find something better fun to do. But this game is now a very unstable universe (some call it chaos) . I mean imagine you wake up one morning and somebody says we are increasing gravity beacuse people are runnig too fast, then “oh you can see too well with two eyes and we are taking one of them”. Luckily real everyday life is not like EVE and it is almost stable and I like this feeling.

And those who keep telling others to adapt or die, quit and find other games; who claims to be elite players, etc. I do not have the time and energy to discuss with you. But think about this. Imagine they added a mechanism to anomalies and mining sites so that you cannot lock anything for 30 secs after you landed on the grid. Would you adapt it or cry here on the forums and yell what a stupid thing this is.

This is how I feel and any stupids comments, I do not give a ■■■■. So do not waste your time typing and answer and showing everyone how better you are than me. Because I will probably not be reading the forums anymore (this has been only EVE related activity recently).

EVE was a really good game before that SP candies, skill injectors, aurum, godlike drifters and BO.

Most of your recent kills have been in fleets not gangs.
Most recently taking a nice loss to Test while you outnumbered them.

Personally, I’d switch to posting with a char that has no kill history rather than use yours as an example of good game play.

Waffles, Goons, PL, Frat and others - All teamed up together, there really isn’t much hope for Nulsec is there.,.

The trick is: they already were.

Compare the April to May numbers. What @Xucca there missed by looking at April is that Delve, for example, was already down to 5.0T in May. The Excavator changes that hit mid-April are the main shift in numbers before the Blackout for mining. For Ratting, anomaly and NSA changes hit at the same time.

What did EVE need of a Blackout? The faucet tendency was already set.

I try to find coherence but it’s difficult when prominent figures don’t voice their opinion openly.

Hellmar & Co. clearly confirmed that Bots were initially affected but had already adapted to BO and quickly. This happened on the first interview published one month ago.

Someone is not telling the truth and the problem is that not even the guys from Talking in Stations or their guests seem to be capable or in position of openly questioning such statement while they bring up July MER analysis. In fact, I’m struggling to find any relevant voice merely quoting it.

So, when reciting the data, “analysts” tend to justify variations arguing speculative botting reduction and not BO effect on regular -non cheating- players.

I mean, didn’t CCP’s highest available authorities said BOTS ADAPTED? I heard it, everyone knows it.
I may sound redundant here: If bots adapted, where is the reduction coming from? who’s PVE was affected, then?

The Blackout was not a specific action against botting, the faucet was already declining. What did EVE need of a Blackout?

TiS will never be in that position. Matterall has openly said he wants TiS to be a ‘safe space’ for CCP devs to come on. That’s why CCP asked for both of those interviews, and why there’s already plans for a third. I know some of the guys on TiS don’t feel this way, but CCP clearly feels it’s a place to go and take batting practice against gently-lobbed softballs.

For some that might be true. On the other hand it was a carebear heaven. The reward from living in NS was still enormous and game threatening compared to risk – that was the fundamental problem. Even now it’s not nearly far enough. I think it’s going to take even deeper changes to ships such as Rorqs to put them more in a command role and less in a mining ship role, a ADM system that works both ways so if the system is overexploited anoms go down again, capital ships that are expensive to keep combat ready (like structures) changes to asset safety and and probable even a strong role for Drifter to bring things into balance again. Yes those are big changes, but absolutely necessary to keep Eve and the kind of risk taking player base in NS so the game endures another 16 years.

You mean like they were before the changes nullsec told CCP were way too much?
