join one that better suits your tz.

+1 , you will get a lot of crap from the 1337 players for posting this as have all the others that try to say its affecting the smaller and casual null players the most.

I think you should list the similarities first:
Example - Pool & Baseball.
- You hit a ball with a wooden stick
- You score more points the better you are at hitting balls
- The surface you play on is green
- The ball hurts when hit someone in the head with it
but not an alt of anyone worth knowing. your previous posts confirm you can’t even check zkill

It doesn’t limit any playstyles that matter.
If you’re a warm body in a chair that can press align, F1, F2, and read a book while watching overview (or heaven forbid, press V every once in a while) then you can easily mine, rat, or whatever.
The playstyle of people who literally fire up on a fat roid and walk away, aren’t paying attention at all, or bots… well no-one in their right mind considers that a ‘playstyle that matters’. Because you aren’t playing. And that has no style.
The “Sandbox” that everyone is bitching about is still there. Always has been, always will be till the last dude biomasses.
The only thing that changed is that you now get no free intel on either side of PvX or mining. The various professions in the game still have relevance, which you’d know if you were logged in and playing. Instead you decided to check out. Frankly that alone means your opinion means jackshit since you aren’t even bothering to try.
If you want to mine or rat with local, go to highsec. Nothing prevents that except you. However if you’re wanting to mine or rat in Null where the real ISK is, then maybe you should get used to the rISK.
There should not be reward without it.

So many people clearly on here have no idea what’s going on… Just to poke one hole in your entire argument, since you clearly don’t live in null you wouldn’t understand what putting a cloaky camper (something I’m doing myself) an sb in a system and just watching and waiting. They have no cloak targeting penalty, you can literally roll up to within 5k drop double points (which is becoming a new norm since people are stabbing out their pve ships) light cynos and bam 20+ people on grid in the blink of an eye…
Just a little education for you since “you still have to be semi active…” no you have to be fully active and on guard the minute you step out of station there’s no in between… And even when you are minding your P’s and Q’s you still die

The Imperium has a wonderful article about the blackout and I have to say that the writer is right on all the points, except the last one. CCP needs to stop trying with this blackout and move to something else in order to maybe fix null.

Great to see CCP making a change like this. EVE is supposed to be dangerous. There’s supposed to be high risk for high reward. EVE is supposed to be scary and cutthroat, it’s what separates it from all the Massively Mediocre Online games out there.
Well done CCP! This is a step in the right direction.
