“exciting” is the last word that comes to mind. This full retreat, if it’s happens, is more likely the realization that they’ve lost control of their own game–I’d be drinking too.
were not adressed by blackout in the slightest.
This was just so the skillfree gankers were able to get kills with impunity but none of those complaining about umbrellas would have the manpower, organisational skill or patience to take sov and set up an umbrella of their own.
Really what i would like to see is changes that make Null more liveable for smaller groups without needing to sustain an umbrella 23/7 First of all by finally doing something about AFK cloaky camping in k-space.
My idea would be a cycle of maybe 30 min that can be reset without decloaking during the last seconds of said cycle - applying in k-scape only because im no douchebag who thinks all of w-space should change their playstyle to fit my needs.
Annyhow if Null can get more smaller groups to gain a sustainable foothold there would also be much more activity spread out instead of clustered under the few effective umbrellas of mega alliances.
I kinda Wish there was more of a widely known plan behind black out i really thought oh maybe they will use it to bring info structure into the game, but nope personally i didn’t like the black out becase if i wanted WH space type local i would have joined WH space. there is more isk to be made. That being said i enjoy the PVP of null sec but the only fights that i have been able to get in are Rampaging stealth bomber fleets. compared to before battlecruisers or whatever its kinda depressing.
like today went out on a battlecruiser fleet we could not even deploy to using a titan bridge due to cyno changes we had to get like 4 cyno’s 1.2 bill isk roughly just to have a 1min fight. for a sum of 60-80 people on both sides to kill 6-7 ships and then our opponents backed off because they just want to kill the cyno ship due to the cost then leave. knowing the fast they could win the isk battle by avoiding a fight and killing a cyno. and took leadership quick forming a stealth bombers fleet ( again with the stealth frigs)
Congratulations CCP! Now you have made angry also Black Out supporters. Your skill to stomp on the customer’s nerves is something for history books. Congratulations on your achievements!
Will I run to activate now…I think I’ll do some more experiments. See, when you’re experimented with us, I had time to look around on the market for what’s new MMO. And I have to say I found some really interesting games. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to look around.
I think I’ll continue my experiment.
Until further notice.
Good luck to you all!
Once again, marketing department, congratulations! You know, if you s…t in to someone’s soul, you can apologize to them, but you know, the stench will stay forever. Be more careful with your decisions.
You are right, small groups do bring content - There isn’t many places in Sov Nul where you won’t have at least one of the Blocs on your doorstep. These guys have hundreds if not thousands of members who are bored and want things to kill.
Who is the “best” target"?
There is another Bloc in the next region over OR a small group who just took a constellation 2 regions away.,.
When Foziesov was first introduced (before it was launched) Devs and community managers alike touted the fact Small/er groups would be able to take and hold sov as long as they used it.
The community response was for the most part - Yeah sure, like the big groups are going to “allow” a small group to set up on their doorstep and not farm them into submission. This still applies, most smaller groups in Sov Nul pay rent to their respective landlords and as long as the rent is payed, they can stay.,.
I will add, there is one (possibly the largest group in Nul) who don’t actually charge “rent”, they instead place these smaller corps and alliance around the main region they live in, which gives them a pretty decent buffer and time to respond to anyone who may try to invade their space… [pretty smart really]
Back to Nyx ratting I gues.
Yes being on good terms with your closest big neigbour is still kind of necessary but really if the big players are smart they prefer long term content over smashing some puppys dream just for the sake of it.
We all saw what happened on Serenity so im quite happy with goons doctrine of one force under one umbrella (btw @CCP_Hilmar yes, thats a real thing - no need to be scared of Mittens throwing purple donuts at you)
And at least trying something in that direction should be well worth it. At least i don’t think anyone would notice a dip in login numbers if all Cloaky campers leave in protest…
I just hope Provi can bounce back once the Blackout’s over.
Have you ever seen a Fanfest before?
It was always the case that they made announcements there and the dev blogs followed the week after. In my eyes, that’s perfectly okay and right.
Wait… With all support you provided to Blackout you weren’t living in null-sec?
Who woulda thunk?
Well its the only choice now, null or alpha because this game is not worth paying for.
Yea, but not this situation. They so badly screwed things and their supposed interviews with TiS were such sham that they better stop drinking and post something exciting about the end of their stupid BO
Yes that is a wonderful picture of EvEs primary salt producers.
Null.
so wot you saying that you want less people in game so if they less people in the game there less ganks for you to have that it?
So null sec is going to be 100% safe again for ratters. And 200% safe for botters.
I never had faith in CCP, i don’t know why i came back to this game. No good games around, maybe thats why. Time to find another hobby.
P.S. keep going CCP you are good at bad decisions.
I believe that is what is known as talking out of your arse.
EvEs population will continue to fall until the risk vs reward in Null is fixed. It is so safe and so heavy on rewards it is destroying the rest of the game.
We are at the point you either play in null or as an alpha because the rest of the game without blackout is not worth paying for but most people in null figured that out long ago.
Mark, we all can go back and forth about local or not all day long.
You like BO, then go organize like minded people and come back cry really loud and show CCP you mean business. Perhaps CCP will swing your way. Apparently it worked for people that did not like the BO.
Or do exactly what you have been telling Nullbears to adapt or quit. You have the power.
I am choosing to adapt, by not giving CCP, 1 more cent.
