That old DOS game where you flew a bomber over Europe? Eve needs a triangles mode for fleet fights reminiscent of this era’s graphics. Rendering load would be like almost zero.
This Login and new Player numbers are just a huge fake with the sp giveaway , the current sp Event, the plex sale, etc. . The so called statistiks are worth nothing.
No, this is wrong.
Algorithms are define thusly.
K, meaning constant.
n, meaning ‘number of items’
An algorithm of K (+,-,/,*) n is considered equal to n, as the K constant is computationally trivial.
n^2 + n + k is considered to be a n^2 algorithm, because the n^2 is the computationally difficult part.
NO.

Garbage. Weapons have a damage multiplier, when grouped this is just multiplied up by the number of weapons in the group. The output is equal, but computationally less without having to make everything use only ONE weapon turret.
No, removing fighters and drones would bring improvements, as those have to be tracked individually, both in terms of damage output and requiring constant calculations to update their location in space.
What doesn’t look cool is the number of ships that used to have 6 guns that now have only 4 and no matter where a weapon is placed in the high slot it always ends up looking like guns are missing.
Well he also said that the average new player only stays for 7 days, lol, so that’s like saying “how many people use this specific kind of torq wrench?” “300” guy picks up and puts down wrench "three hundred and one… "
I dont think you understand value.
Thinks dont become valuable just because you attach a price on it. For most people get value because they are extremely useful. For rich players non useful think might alos become valuable as trophies. In both cases, as valuable things become, as risk aversive people use them.
Star Trek Klingon?
Wow. You kneed them in the balls, threw gasoline on them and then set them on fire with their own glasses. I guess writing on the forum is PvP after all.
You say that, after unleashing the brainshredding nanite superweapon banned by all forum war conventions that is Star Trek Klingon. I hadn’t even remembered that thing existed before you brought it up. Talk about cruel and unusual.
You are mean. I like it.
Quote from the PC Gamer review. “The best thing about this game is the hologram that came on the box”.
Even though I’m against the blackout in its current implementation ( dotlan still works, the in game map is free intel, zkillboard leaks who’s doing what, right this minute, cyno’s of all kinds are oppressive ) hasn’t brought balance to the game, its just shifted it from one extreme to the other.
Eve has seen some dark days, just remember, STK just shows beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There’s hard to see much beauty in Eve these days.
You gotta love that the Dev team has gone full Trump though, “we’ve had the best numbers! It’s been great! Nobody brings in new people like we do! We will have the greatest new player numbers you’ve ever seen!”
Aren’t the numbers up though? Dont think its low for it being summer.
Well I was referring to Hellmars comment about how they bring in 16k new players a week (that only last 7 days so why bother counting them) but I would say at this point it’s kind of hard just with that metric to really trust that they’re giving us the whole picture. Plus you have to take into account the login bonuses, skilling spree ect. From my personal experience and that of many others lot of low numbers in alliances/discords/mumbles ect but like I said hard to say for sure
Plus to be fair lot of people have commented that they bought long subs so they’re just logging on just to update things minimal effort kind of stuff to justify some of the money they’ve spent, so it’s really just too early and CCP is giving little information to form an accurate picture
The irony about that is that CCP didn’t really like the fact the 3rd party apps played along. At least they hinted at such in the audio, which seems a little odd since you would think to balance the game they’d take away from both sides, but I think they want it up to encourage more losses in line with the “dystopian hellscape” falcon loves so much
Well I know allot of people who do not agree with your sentiments on this.
I mean the biggest issue with this, is that two people in cepters especially with cynos can force multiply.
Let’s just take some of my recent experience… When the blackout started I didn’t want to ship spin for a month so I figured might as well take advantage of the content and pvp. Went out, got over 200 kills in the first two weeks from crashing gate camps, CTAs, roams and home def. Was fun, was nonstop and pretty much solely focused on pvp (all the while of course friends/corpies/alliance members losing ships)
Wait two weeks for things to die down to do some ratting, adjusted my fit for my carrier for cyno for fax and the lot incase I get tackled, put two alts on both sides of a gate in a dead end pocket and zoomed in to listen for gate fire. Checked zkill’s history over the last two days to look for any drops, and finally went out to do some anoms at off hours when it had “slowed down” while constantly spamming dscan to make sure there weren’t any cloaked ships that snuck in possibly decloaking for a cyno off grid.
That lasted about 30-45 min before two frigs previously called out ages ago finally made it a jump or two out from my pocket. Dock up, bring out the pvp toon meet up with the fleet, spend 2hrs playing cat and mouse as the neuts run around and die. Get ready to go back out, two more nuets reported nearby heading to my pocket… It’s late, alliance numbers are low, not as many people show up for def, spend another two hours playing cat and mouse, kill one other leaves. 5 min later another gang is reported. Dock up log off call it a night…
Mind you all of that was during “slow time” during busy hours it’s non stop people roaming through your pocket… So out of this weekend because of all the activity I spent my time pvping. Now don’t get me wrong, I like a kill mail just as much as the next guy, but after a while it gets boring, like constantly swatting flies buzzing around your head so often you find hours have gone by and you’ve done nothing but swat flies all day… Which is why I’ve said the “content” is already getting boring and to make isk I get maybe 30 here an hour there if I’m lucky…
So my options are join goons and hide behind a boson, or spend all my time pvping which removes the freedom of the sandbox that makes a sandbox a sandbox…
If you look at ADMs they’re all down… Most of the alliances have already started shifting to 5 man rorq fleets to keep the ADMs up through industry since that’s more efficient and safer than rating anymore. If you’re 100% pvp I can totally understand why you like the update, but if you enjoyed all the aspects of Eve in Null, the majority have been reduced and the freedom to create your own story restricted so it’s become more boring…
Also just to tag onto that, because I’m sure I’ll get the “if you don’t like it move to high sec” response. High sec is probably the farthest thing from a sandbox in Eve with concord and NPC factions that for all intents and purposes are incapable of being influenced in any way short of being concorded for ganking and moving contraband… I would compare fairly equitably high sec to ESO, you can have big battles and castles (upwells you defend) but most of it is very streamlined in terms of your options which again stands in opposition of the freedoms that make a sandbox a sandbox.
And for those who think the botting issue is being solved and the numbers going down reflect botters not playing, I have several friends that moved back to high sec after the blackout and have commented about the significant increase in botters in signatures and of course let’s not forget the afk/bot mining that is rampant there either…
Instead of a delayed local like in WH space, why not update the list of people every 5 minutes, so if you have scouts you at least have a chance to know if there are campers. And if someone is roaming around and enters and leaves a system withing 5 mins they are still entirely stealthy. And ihub upgrade to increase/decrease the time in that an update happen.
Not sure if such a suggestion had been made before, but following this thread has been difficult from the start
So you want a safer Null. So you would be happy for a delayed local and a massive cut in reward then?
So the risk in Null is now more equal to the reward. You do not want to move. Great.
Adapt.
Еще 1-2месяца пройдет и всем будет плевать на твой ноль.
Песочницу убили и это грустно.
