Noone told you to go and play arcadegames if you dont wont the simgame around your little pvp world.
Eve is a big sim game with space and corners for every kind of playstyle.
Thats the reason why Eve is so successful for 16 years now.
CCP want a shake up and they do a lot of changes in direction of becoming an arcade game.
It is understandable that a lot of ppl say “uh no” that is not the thing EVE stands for last 16 years.
We all live i that world afterworks.
Changes look successful at short range … a lot of ppl resub because of the changes and free skillpoints.
But noone wants divorcing directly … most ppl wait they have enough ISK for it.
It take at least till next year to evaluate success or fail.

Dear developers! I think you watch the statistics of active player’s number. I don’t know what’s your plan, but I clearly see too much people finish the game without local in nullsec. It doesn’t touch the large entities, but kill the smallers. Large groups can defend themselves with their umbrella, but smalls lost lots of their possibilities I mean mainly ratting and mining. So our nullsec systems soon became total unhibitants. So some people thought they will can do more PvP, but only find empty solar systems. Anyway attackers got a serious advantage against their targets. So Blackaout’s result is a dying nullsec. Is it good for anyone? I don’t know what’s your aim.

CCP is for sure not listening. Lets hope for the sake of the game they listen once their wallet and bottom line is hit.
You can defend yourself too. Anti tackle caracal and griffin isn’t expensive and low skill requirement and that can save ship. Super aren’t the only way to defend and survive…
You just have to stop farming in cap ship. Or being organised and scouting around.

Problem is that Blackout isn’t a solution to “the nullsec problem”.
The immediate effects of Blackout are of course that people can’t just get intel from local, with all the associated (in)conveniences, depending on your standpoint. But that’s already all there is to it.
People are already adapting to the change and before long, the status quo will be back to normal. At which point blackout would have completely lost it’s purpose. At which point the increased risk due to lack of local-based intel has been downgraded to a minor inconvenience. At which point you might as well just remove Blackout altogether and actually work on balancing krabbing.
The VNI nerf/rebalance was a step in the right direction, as it made the extremely low risk-high reward playstyle of multiboxing several VNIs across several omegas a greater risk. Similarly, it seems like they tweaked rats to attack drones more often, so you can’t just release your drones and ignore them.

Yesterday i tried to rat a null. Managed to last almost 2 hours and got my Dominix stealth bombed.
I wasnt afk, using intell and Near2.
All the intel reports were from 12 to 19 jumps away. The closest one was a interceptor 3 jumps away 20 min before (that ceptor wasnt on the km).
Drones: heavy, lights and ecm medium/light. Neuts and web. All that i could survive a little to call for backup or try to break free from scram.
Loki jumped in, i recalled my drones to use ecm.
Meanwhile i looked to the other screen and send ship to safety the dominix was on structure and 10 Stealth Bombers on grid.
I cant see how is this ´working as intended´.
Subcap ratting in null is next a ISK negative activity. There isn’t enough time to wait for backup or break free.
The supercap umbrella guy was praising the benefits of the blackout BUT:
- The supercap players rats in supers waiting to be jumped
- They are bored and want fights
- Ask any subcap pilot in his alliance that rats to support pvp if he could make money in the last weeks. that if they are happy with it.
And yes if i cant find any other enjoyable activity in game i will win EVE as many have done.

How about you have a bit more respect for the players that live in our little Space World? From where I’m sitting, I’m telling them nothing disrespectful. I’m telling them ‘you deserve to be happy. Do things that make you happy.’
How is that a lack of respect? How is telling them that their time is worth more than putting up with a bunch of nonsense from some guys in Iceland anything but respect?
I’m not saying ‘get out of here, you suck’. I’m saying ‘you know what? You don’t need this crap. You don’t need a game to be giving you stress. You have options, and you should pick the option that will make you happy, without any sunk cost fallacy or other baggage trying to keep you down’.

I remember watching - a quick search on youtube should turn it up - a group of NullSec alliance leaders chanting “No Local” at an EvEfest round table about Null.
