Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

They should just black out every system and make everything null sec with no Concord or gate guns.

skillu unsubbed because of lack of content; thats a whole alliance of high end long term players that have had more to do with content creation than you will ever, or your friend or in fact anyone in your whole alliance.

kind of makes you irrelevant.

Because it means that 1000 titans can drop on you whenever they feel like it?

Ugh. No, they didn’t. Capqu spun that crap, and people ate it right up. SkillU shut down because their Alliance Exec quit, and he had all the money and permissions and alliance assets when he did. The ‘no content’ nonsense is just Capqu spinning it because he doesn’t want to put in the work of rebuilding, and it’s easier to let his pilots go to FRT.

The purge comes to mind now that would be insane in eve

Remember, null means No. No security.

Are you for real? Are you suggesting to quit my job in order to rat in off hours?

If you die once per hour you lose money , if you die once per 2 hours you lose 2 hours, if you die once per 3 hours you make half of what you were making. Not worth it.

Who said anything about no risk? There’s a huge difference between risk vs reward or being a sitting duck. If you’re ratting in null and a red enters local, you usually make sure to GTFO because a ratting fit != a PVP fit. If you’re mining, same story. If you’re in a hauler you just have to hope you’re not in warp to the gate that guy just came through. Non-pvpers take risk every time they undock and warp to something, and that’s with knowing what’s there. Because the situation can change at any moment and the ships they are in are not the fastest. Without knowing though? It’s Russian Roulette. I do take risks in my non-PVP activities, but I also want to achieve goals in that. That’s where the fun in it is: reaching the goals, not in the risk itself. If the goals are no longer reachable because you get shot up every time, it takes the fun away. Solution to that: not undocking anymore and finding something else to do. Not in null though and maybe not even in EVE anymore.

there isnt any

God, do you start every post like that?

Didn’t your mother teach you better?

And i love how you misquote.

I said wormholes like abyssal space isn’t fixed like normal space. This is why normal space is able to have jumpgates and wormholes aren’t.

Like abyssal space, wormholes are moving, but maybe i should have added in an unpredictable manner.

This is why crons don’t work.

Bad Idea

You hit the nail on the mark says it all and to the point , Cheers to you.

Damnit, was just about to resub 15 accounts after a year off. As an industrialist no local means no play.
If i wanted to live and play with no local i’d be in a wormhole.

Glad i saw this before resubbing…

Fozzie, I know this isn’t entirely down to you but for goodness sake - Talk to the idiots you work with. Adding stuff to deliberately test players resolve to continue playing probably isn’t the best way to keep the player base growing

Arrendis you pubbie post far to much.

this is what d-scan and gate pings are for if you play properly you can avoid a camp pretty damn easily. now if you jump through into a camp that cant be helped and you can burn back to gate.
null is way too safe. it shouldn’t be. screw the carebears

But “Who would want to kill so fine a fellow as I?”

Edit; At least WH’s are getting warmer. Undocked a insta pop PI toon only to see on D-scan “after” I had warped into range enough to see core probes on scan. Still made my run. The guy ran from an epithal…

Kendarr you became a pubbie far too much.

15 less bots.
