Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

I unsubed my 6 accounts. My Friend unsubed his 13 accounts and other friends unsubed their accounts as well. You all keep saying you don’t care that these "bears’ are unsubbing, but really they are the ones keeping the economy a float as well as money in ccp’s pockets to keep the game running.

If they really want to get rid of a local chat they should get rid of jita local chat.

You can run 5 ishtar by doing 300kk+ / h
without risking.

I for one welcome our wormhole overlords

thats legit if you see your way of Play no fun anymore you can feel free to do that i dont Judge others over their Goals ingame. but at the end ist never got to piss of any customer

fixed that for you.
Really, with all these bots and rmt’ers going away, maybe we can go back to 300m plex per month. how much is a sub now? 2b or so?

Will be really interesting to see how the active player numbers develop after this change. They could be going down, after all, there is a lot of talk about canceling xtillion accounts as a response to the change, on the other hand, there are also a few people who say this will bring them back to eve. Time will tell.

But as far as this having any kind of serious impact on the large power blocks I have to say it won’t make any difference at all for their members.
Response fleets will still be on standby, and if someone tackles one of their rorquals they still have more than enough people to drop the living hell out of anybody.
The only people who really are getting the shaft with this change will be (once again) the smaller entities who do not have the manpower for huge response fleets and relayed primarily on early warning intel to stay alive.

It forces THEM to play the game YOU want to play it, but it takes away THEIR game. And their game is as much a part of EVE as how you want to play it. EVE can’t be just about fights. I’d have stuck with Space Invaders if that’s all I wanted. If EVE is turned into Fortnite in Space, it really finally will be dying.

We only carrier ratted or insurance frauded for real isk income. None of my friends botted. All we did was rorqual mine, an import our ore to jita. But after our Corp was kicked out of branch bc leadership wanted bots in those systems. So we are now in low sec

No one will cancel the subscription, these people write about this every released update.
the only one who will cancel the subscription is bots

To you, yes. Because ‘a good fight’ is what you’re looking for.

For people who want to prepare for the next strategic campaign, the better option is just dropping titans on you right away, so they can get back to doing what they want to be doing.

you can still Play youre way but you will suffer from theirs…

You say that…but soon when player count is under 10k on the log in screen im sure CCP will start to worry

I usually do a 1 yr sub with real money CC payment, not with ISK bought PLEX, and then immediately after the sub purchase I always cancel the sub so my CC doesn’t get hit with a recurring charge when I least expect it.

Been doing that for the past 10 years so canceling a sub basically doesn’t mean anything.

Then we will recognize bots that will stop entering the game.

You know, if you click on the quote it links to what I wrote and I said nothing remotely close to that false quote.

The only people “hiding” here are the players that rely on evasion and the warning provided by local as their sole defensive strategy. A good solid nerf to local chat, with perhaps some structure to provide some proximity detector for those who have claimed that space as their home would allow people to actually come after you. Perhaps then they could reasonable force a fight and call you on your tough guy braggadocio and not just have you inevitably flee to the safety of your station as soon as any non-blue name appears in local.

Really though, the Blackout is coming. Karma Fleet will be fine. Embrace the chaos and thank “Daddy CCP” for serving you some steamed broccoli to make the game healthier instead of whining like a small child and publicly pouting on these forums that you don’t want to eat your vegetables and all you want is an endless supply of sweet, safe candy.

We don’t let children plan their meals just like CCP shouldn’t let ISK-obsessed farmers design their PvP game. Those roads both just lead to fat, whiny children, not to mention juvenile diabetes and premature death. We can only hope that CCP’s intervention isn’t too late to save Eve from those fates.

just wait a bit now ist a IWB … cause bevore you ware Aware of something invicible that goes for you and Drops ■■■■ like heck now they are 105% invicible.

But then why are they in nullsec in the first place if they want no risk?

And that would be the best argument for no local null i can think of.
