Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

And now that tired old saw. I mean, look at this lame crap. You don’t even do condescension well. It’s like having a six year old trying to bust out their worst insults and all they come up with is ‘well, you’re a doo-doo head’. Tell you what: you go ahead, take some time, look up a few decent insults, and try to figure out how you can actually use them.

Its their choices what they want to do. They could go to WH or Low sec but they didnt. Its their way of having fun. If they want to PvP they will jojin a roaming fleet but if they want to mine and suddenly they cant do that because now anyone can to sneak on em, they will lose will to play. This game is special because of soooo many options on what to do. Some like station trading other like mining some like pve some like pvp but if you force a group to do something that they dont want they will most likely leave since this is a game and if something is not according to your preference and you lose option to do what you like you just walk away. I have seen many new player who wanted to PvP right away but also i have seen some that are like “ok i like economy and such thing ill do trade and industry”. If you are PvP preering player how would you feel if CCP says “ok from now on concord is present in Null and Low sec, you can fight but you will be punished for doing what you like”.

I rather log in and blast through some space trash in delve.

Sure y’do, Binky. And pray, which actual PvPer’s work will you be claiming as your own? Have you decided yet?

Puffy. Go take you meds already.

By no means I’m not telling you not to do it but… what exactly is preventing you from doing it right now?

CCP should change the invisibility modules functionality. so that they do not last indefinitely, and will not forever camps

He can’t figure out how to log onto an alt with a combat history.

Please define to me what a ganktard is.

It’s like a ganktart, which is a fruit-filled pastry that blows up your mining ship, but slightly different.

Some bad bad person who killed his vni.

As a solo pilot it is the automated alarm those braindead monkeys use.

Embrace this new level of game play. The umbrella players still will be fine except now some skill will be required. Thanks CCP you added some level of content. Drifters being somewhat inefficient at causing real harm but potentially something, and now players can hide to a marginal degree with hunters able to hunt to a new mechanic. Next will be Drifters deploying keepstar and taking space potentially

A few thoughts on this,

#1 No local in null sucks. If i didn’t want local i would be living in a WormHole BUUUUT… check the next one.

#2 I hope they put things in place for Alliances / corps to rebuild local. also please make this not a SOV required item. As the whole null thing effects NPC null as well. This in turn puts pvp opportunities in place. On a constellation basis I think it would be an interesting part of eve combat. You come in with fleets in advance shut down local. Then you have the ability to shut down sections of space with larger fleets. This would put a whole another level of null combat. It would force alliances to think, is this worth protecting or not. I think alliances will have to take a hard look at their space and what is actually worth holding.
Maybe even have options to just disrupt local for a couple hours at a time.

Additional notes, My hope is they take the drifters and replace them with Diamond rats of the faction in your region. and make them super aggressive to all players. I whole hardly vote & want this.

risk-averse chicken who was not subbed before blackout for the sole reason ganking in nullsec was only 99% safe.

I dont understand all the nul people saying prices will skyrocket. Other than caps and supers what cant be built or mined outside nul? Not challenging anyone here, just curious how this is a doomsday for the eve economy. I mean we can mine everything in highsec now with moons, and can build everything but supers, I think*. Just curious, not trying to pick a fight.

And what exactly does it do? Kill you?

Hey. Make the gameplay as in StarConflict  The system controls the ship and weapons, pvp battles will take place much harder and more interesting  This game is cool for everyone, only one is bad - it is not Eve online

With local chat you are great - the idea is good!

Skill being not use subcaps because you will die too quick without warning

Such skill, man. I must be elite to think of thT
