You will be surprised how many people can do it right. And no I am not surprised about Bombers Bar because quite often people would not align out when locked or warp out when drones start to come after them. My mate who flew with Bombers Bar hardly ever lost a ship because he knew what to do.
I can see that you know how to use an Interceptor, I liked your video by the way, I can do sling shots and know how to spiral in, however I don’t fly them that often, I know my use of them is sub par. I definitely understand tracking.
People are not screaming for safety, that is simplistic and wrong headed. People think that the balance is too far towards the hunter. I am a solo, small group player and I have done a lot of operating as a small guy around others and being hunted. At a player vs player level it is too far in favour of the hunter.
They understand that, you have decided to ignore that because you are either trolling or are so fed up with what Eve has turned into that you just want to strike out at people who find this too easy hunting a major turn off as if they are the same as a Goon for example.
The major alliances will be fine, however they will operate with caps at this point in the main, which is a shame.
To be fair, that’s really not a terrible idea to have as a UI option. Suggest it to Karkur’s ‘Little Things’ queue.
EDIT: I mean, there’s a lot of things EVE could be using sound for that wouldn’t need to be the kind of positional sound (in space?) that causes horrific client lag. One of EVE’s biggest problems, after all, is information management, and they’re trying to do it entirely visually. Visually presenting information is great for persistent things, but not so good when you end up trying to present so much that you just get cluttered…
… and EVE’s UI is horribly cluttered. There’s a lot going on, but the reliance on ‘just fill up more of the real estate’ when things could be better presented with sound, or auto-filtering (purely as an example: give me a toggle I can use to automatically flip between two different overviews depending on whether or not I have a weapons timer) really does contribute to the way new players have trouble getting up to speed.
Save your breath pal - he’s so bad at actually using intel tools it’s hilarious - we confirmed he literally doesn’t know you can look up a system in zkill - he thinks it’s only characters.
If you came into my system, well first you have to find it and as it has no k-space static that may take a while but once you do please feel free to camp out, You can even say hello in local to instill fear in the locals, please attack anything you see on d-scan.
Tho be aware I don’t run & hide, I will fight back.
My suggestion go after the Nereus that seems to be wandering around aimlessly or the uncloaked Heron sat near planet V… not bait … not at all… doesn’t have tank & tackle… you’ll be fine.
It’ll only take CCP to enable cynos in wormchicken space (I bet you never saw wh region map to know how close those systems are) and you’ll get educated when your crabbing ship suddenly gets 30 people instantly sitting on it without going through any holes.
its not like its impossible to escape then, you can place people on gates, check sigs when they appear, switch fittings to more agile/long range versions to make it harder for hunters, start baiting, etc…
just the afk ones which relied full on near2 or whatever, yeah these will die
How everybody now tell… Oh now is perfect, place people on gates check sig … bla bla bla… real it is so… wiat 1000… 500 ok. cyno up jump jump… web scram point… yehaaa is death… thx… now i dont know that any body is sneak to my position… thats better for pvp…
sorry. take of the sunglasses, it is only for easy kills now…
So you’d rather rat within scan of a gate? That’s safer, really? As you point out next there are tricks to making it easier to d-scan someone out and it can be done pretty quickly. Is the solution to grant even non-cloaking ships the benefit of a gate cloak in which to do it so that the first time you could possible spot them on your own d-scan is when they align for the warp in on you? Doesn’t seem right to me.
Most of null is empty and scanning the whole system will be time consuming, fleets might bother to do it but most solo or small gangs won’t want to warp to planet 9. Too much time invested for too little return. Remember, no local means local isn’t reporting your presence to the world either. (I notice you didn’t address the fact that you gain an advantage from this as well.) I also notice you didn’t mention anything about large systems being pretty safe to use, is that a point taken?
I have heard of ratting dreads, but I’ve caught massively more carriers and super carriers than dreads in spite of them not using a siege mode. Probably because they’re slow and more vulnerable to being tackled by rats but don’t siege. You are never forced by optimal range to go into full tackle range of rats. Never. Because you are never required to use blasters (or similar) for PvE, and why would you? The whole point of PvE is to down one target then immediately get to work on the next, not fly through 6 webs to point blank range. Furthermore this is all stuff you can easily plan around and if you’re not prepared for the most predictable (even scripted in this case) problems that will arise, that level of care deserves what it gets. It is also fine to not care and just accept the consequences of what happens, it’s what I do autopiloting hauler alts in high sec (yes, I have lost haulers afk at their destination, more than once. You just deal with it.)
The Frank Sinatra thing doesn’t even address what you’re quoting.
Gate guns are around 200 dps that applies near perfectly to everything. It’s not much against a gang set up to handle it, but against 1-2 targets fighting back in a PvE fit may well be enough. You probably won’t kill them but you can force them to warp or pull range from you and get away. Having lived in low sec for years there are absolutely fights I won’t take under gate/station guns that I would take in open space and fights where I’ve tried to provoke an enemy into taking gate guns so I could win.
This whole post just sounds like an airing of paranoia to me. When you’re working in a wormhole and one day undock to find 7 new wormhole connections you know people have been around but be smart about it and you don’t automatically die. And furthermore, believe it or not, losing a ship is not the end of the world.
Because of what ? Denying you your “Content” in Shooting at me? No bugger, I win, because you cannot shoot me and my Money goes elsewhere, somewhere I deceide. I have the strength to say “not my game anymore” and leave … do you have that strength ? I doubt it.
covert cyno hotdrop does not generate a sig.
K162 wh is still delayed from appearing.
10 bombers would have 40k alpha strike, then another one 6 seconds later. We tried to find any viable subcap fitting that can take it, and found none.
You either use vessels not worth ganking, which give less reward than hisec, or use nothing and stay logged off for this.
That worked well with intel when you know a hunter is coming. If a cloaky is already in, you don’t know when he’s biting, so you have to sit there paying full attention to your trap without missing a single second for the whole weekend… such wow, much fun.
They are mostly already dead because womholes are a thing, but w/e, let’s assume they will. What should the rest do is more of a question - choice is to join bloc and get into a super under umbrella, or unsub, which are not fun choices to say the least.
If only some tools called dotlan or in-game map existed, giving free intel on where every single krab is, that would’ve been so easy to gank him, right?
nerfed NSA is a siege mode, wake up.
When you know a cyno cloaky is inside and ready to bring as many friends as needed to reliably win at any moment he desires, you might as well automatically die.
Losing a ship is fine. Feeding a ship to a guaranteed (we know they are logged off in our constellation) unavoidable riskless gank is flying stupid, and we don’t fly stupid.
