CCP the new BLIZZARD hahahaha RiP
CCP noticed it 15 years ago (there is devblog from 2004 about local in null) but havent done anything about it so you cant blame for (null)players becoming complacent.
Poor miners. Like a kid who grew up with no responsibilities in life, enjoying carefree PvE for fifteen long years, and suddenly finds out he has to get a job at Wal-Mart. Boy, if you wanna live in this here nullsec, you better earn your isk!
I’m not sure if any of you realize this but the more you talk the less likely CCP are to even see your response’s If you go to the top and press summarize you will see that if you have made ton’s of posts you will be cut out of the summarized version, like I have.
Probably still wouldn’t do anything about it if botting hadn’t gotten out of control since alpha accounts and injectors.
There are plenty of other ways they could have made nullsec less safe, but out of all those possibilities this one affects bots the most.
So your issue with local is that we dock up our mining barges, and switch to ships which can bite back when you come roaming?
Tells more about you than the bears imo.
We have fun fights with Volta, Hydra-spinoffs, Snuff all the time. Sometimes we loose, sometimes we win.
The only difference with blackouts is some gets to gank weak targets and gtfo before anything can respond.
And bots. Bots loosing local is the only reason I’m FOR this change.
you are rude and lacking in tact
I do not take you.
and that something that wants to improve for better is not a reason for insults.
youre be poor even with isk so NO
Come to delve, you can’t see me on local
LOL
In YOUR space if its 100% safe for me to gank you, whos fault is that?
You fail so much dude its too funny.
get a live and grow up…
life*
Is this orcas alt then?
Pro forum skills lol
highsecs that way ---->
I do not agree with this changes,
but I will adapt it. I think in the next few days I will see many salty tears.
but not my
If only, most just dock and you wont see them in combat ships for well over an hour when they have an ‘fc’ and logi and 20x whatever you have…
Most people in null atm seem to be pure carebear and a lot of the posts on this thread seem to confirm that - hell half aint even sticking round to protect corp or alliance assets OR each other.
These people are not here to play the game and help their fellows out nd believe me they would drop fellow corpies in the ■■■■ and leave them to die in the blink of an eye.
Now tell me, who needs corpies like that?
Sure seems that way!
I’m not sure this change will be overall good for the game tho. The density of targets will probably be a lot lower than now. On the other side, those who are out wont get no warning, so they will be easier to catch.
We’ll see what happens. Either way, it will be more ‘oh ■■■■!’ moments for everyone in space
I think it is a fair assesment, Using a shiny ship/capital to rat when everything is ok and local is immediate mode, then suddenly comms black out comes and they don’t want to do anything in nullsec except stay docked, leave. or go hisec. They are not bothered to try anything different which I think is lazy.
So if the game can’t be played on their terms then the answer is waiting it out? I’m just a bit tired of this kind of attitude towards Eve. For some people playing Eve is conditional. If it’s not easy then they are not interested in playing which is the impression I get. I for one will play Eve in any shape or form, camp me, set drifters on me, take away local chat, I’m still playing regardless.
I think that you will find those big blocks will be ratting in supers regardless, because they will be able to cyno in reinforcements which will be formed and ready to go.
The issue is with smaller and medium groups who will not be able to out escalate their attackers. You know how that feels like!
So what are you going to do in terms of ratting, I know you used to cloak up when people came into local and waited them out, how will this change your approach? I know what I would do, but one thing is certain I would wait for the mass of useless hunters to get bored of a lack of targets before I put my toe back in the water.
I am already back in hisec, but if I was in nullsec with TIKLE for example I would just suck it up and murder the useless hunters.
You are a very committed player, I respect that in you greatly, but for me local was a good balance in terms of the prey and hunter, when I was in TIKLE I was often ratting when most people had gone to bed, so I was relying on local to get safe and then I would switch to PvP ships and see who else was interested.
But the issue is that the balance at the low level is out of kilter now. So I want to see all the map and Dotlan data go too and I want to see the cyno nerfed in some way. There is no cyno functionality in WH space which is why it works, but in nullsec it just becomes a turkey shoot and to be honest no matter how hard you are in terms of attitude ending up being a turkey in a turkey shoot is not fun.
i think there needs to be more counteplay options for cyno’s, supers and titans, maybe different size cyno inhibs with dif ranges and hp; maybe bubble cyno inhibs or ewar that directly effects large ships (i dunno like an emp pulse type thing) - maybe even t2 inhib that can effect blops cyno… maybe even a blops cyno inhib…
Currently the gameplay surrounding cynos is pretty much who has more wins and a minute to anchor an inhib - though fairly sure people probably arent using them right (for example no one drops one to mine in their rorq… even if not under an umbrella)
I wouldnt advocate getting rid of them but ye, more playing options would be good.
