Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

OOooh fancy.

Alas, you can’t do sidebar insets. But I find very few tools for online discussion do that.

Did you not know that kind of map information is always delayed by 30min

all you folks complaining about no content should join Brave, EVERYONE comes to Brave Catch region for a fun fights, even corps that leave Brave for better things end up coming back to Catch for fights (DEQC).

I agree, totally irrelevant and outdated information. Because it is widely known that no miner or ratter stays in one system for more than 30 minutes.

Was in game for half an hour, in that time we lost a Nyx, a carrier, a bunch of VNI’s - but killed a couple goon carriers. I got into a brawl with a couple if goon assault frigs. Shits exploding

I’m not worried about this experiment. Its hard to make nullsec any worse than it already was.

Blackout is not total!

Doesn’t exactly sound like anything new there.

You seem to be in denial that there isnt a problem.

When did I agree that this didnt affect new players?

  1. Not many players had huge wealth back then and the players with tons of accounts were probably in the minority, therefore the rest of the playerbase didnt feel the need to do the same.

  2. Alpha and omega accounts didnt exist and the game was a subscription based game not a F2P one. I suspect the majority of players back then had subscriptions and didnt plex the rest of their accounts.

  3. Skill injectors didnt exist, You had to buy characters and you didnt have 2x training like you do now. If you had to make alts you had to purchase them or make your own in real time. No skill farms just character trading.

  4. The whole portal stuff was different too and you had to individually login each account.

So in answer to your question quite a lot was different

Yeah not having this conversation in this stupid megathread. Thanks Falcon.

I wonder why?

Because I dont like havingvto shout to be heard.

Feel free to start a topic on it, and Ill pick it up np.

Rating should have been changed to 18+.

EVE feels a lot smaller after the blackout, almost like a single player game. Thought I would enjoy this, but it backfired completely.

If this stays permanent then you can say goodbye to my 2 subbed accounts.

Sorry, probably wont thanks, not interested in same denial posting by one individual. These forums probably dont have any new players here to make any comments and its probably just full of the existing player-base who dont want to discuss it objectively. So I think it would be pointless.
