The problem is that, just turned off a very important part of the game. Is a CCP managed by a person who has mental state of 6-year-old? I’m 0.0 and I feel like I’m alone…question…why should i play a MMO game in which I feel like the only living creature in the universe? Your marketing people are among the greatest idiots on the planet earth! Provide at least some other tools to gather information, radar, or something to balance the situation. No, the genius just presses local off and watch what happens. So, you want to play with the client’s nerves? It sounds like a very smart idea! Good for you CCP! See you o7
I read a lot here about the fact that Intel is a prog that players should not have initially used and it undermines the atmosphericity of the game. Then what the hell is there data on the killing of NPS by systems and their number? In a region where players must initially be present? Do you want atmospheric? Kill this cheat program and fly across the galaxy, looking for their victims.
I would introduce to increase the fan pvp event of disconnecting Concorde in the empire for a certain period.
He also introduced structures that are installed in wormholes leading to VH, which increased the ship’s permeability both in mass and in size. Such a wormhole cannot be closed until it closes by itself.
D-Scan, probes, map, locator agents. There are some other 3-rd party tools including killboards that can help gathering required info.
Do not make me angry! I’ll beat you with your own corpse [ ;…;]
эти посты никчему не приведут. Песочница разрушена. Это и было целью. (((
You know with a change like this I would have thought the common sense thing to do would be first off
- “look at the objective” - What do we hope to achieve with this change.,.
- Is there a target group - can we focus the change on the target group/s without affecting the whole player base.,.
- Can the objective be achieved WITHOUT major disruption to the game overall
- If no, what other groups are likely to be affected and what affect could that have on the game long term.
- What are the acceptable outcomes both short and long term.,.
- What is the next step if and when this plan doesn’t achieve development goals but affects the player base in an adverse / unexpected way.
I’ve seen a lot of players leave this game due to poorly thought out changes made by CCP over the years, I’d hate to see it happen again because a change doesn’t actually have enough focus to hit the correct target group/s.,.
One has to ask if CCP is trying to show paying customers the door.
In one stroke of a key, CCP has totally destroyed our game for so many, i will not pay to play this game a minute longer! Thanks CCP, Adapt or Die, F-that
Plot twist: Actually nullsec, wh and highsec coms are running on different codebases and CCP just needed to take nullsec coms down to work on some technical debt.
If this one change was enough to “destroy” game for you and for “so many” just proves how powerful of an intel tool it was. Or how bad those “so many” were at the game.
Like many changes over the years, CCP don’t set out to lose paying customers, that just seems to be a side effect of years poorly planned, short sighted development.
CCP for years allowed the biggest groups in the game to grow all but invincible and accrue riches that an experienced mountain climber would have trouble traversing.
The game needs “the next great war” and the destruction that would come with it - Only problem is, those who could host such a war won’t because it might leave them vulnerable - Much like in the real world, everyone having nukes is the best deterrent to another world war.
All the Super fleets hiding around New Eden mean there is unlikely to ever be another massive war that would make national headlines around the world.
So CCP is grabbing at sunken lost in the abyss straws trying to find a way to get players to lose ships in such a way it changes the economic balance of the game - I don’t believe this Blackout will even go close to achieving the goal.,.
youre Breathtaking Random German Player!!!
So CCP after the success of this comms blackout in nul space are the drifters going to step up their tactics and move into WH space and deploy D-scan counter measures disabling the use of d-scan in all wormholes. High-sec got hit, nul is now getting it, only right that the WH systems get it next. High-sec relies on concord for safety, nul relies on intel channels, WH relies on d-scan. Jamming d-scan in wh is the only option for the next phase.
Are you just learning this?
Go ahead and convince yourself that it if players were more skilled they’d like the absence of local. This is the death of a playstyle that is as old as the game itself. It has nothing to do with how good or bad you are at the game.
It is a turning point though. I’ve already started calling this The LogOut Expansion.
Point is most of them think youre here to make their day and just to support their playstile of getting easy ganks or kills…… and well thats not the way you dont like what happens feel free to quit and go elsewhere youre Money is welcome evrywhere!
Amazing, disappointing not surprising. the mechanics now cater to large groupies. thanks for screwing the little-guy. Corporations and special-interest groups always prevail over the natural path, twist it , spin it whatever, industry has been stifled, environment now allows large groups to pillage at will. There will be no new weeds in this garden, those established will prevail. The total elimination of the one or few has begun and will continue until it is no more, wtg.
Why are people comparing null without local to J space?
Wormholes have a mass limit, the logistics of moving more than 3 dreads is can be very intensive.
Wormholes cannot have SOV, so no supers or titans (thankfully)
Wormhole combat is very different as the path to an objective changes and can be changed by player actions. Or even for an evacuation, your route can change at the will of another party.
Local in null is more valuable to bots or intel umbrellas, with it you can carve a very safe area. Dare I say safer than HS, with the exception of those pesky wormholer’s comming for a roam.
But the roams get shut down by rediculous over forms, which only futher proves just how safe null blocks have become.
Gates and cynos are an incredible luxury for moving titanic amounts of mass around with little effort.
The value of isk generated by a null system ranging from Ice/ore/PI and ratting is vastly more than a wormhole.
To compare these two is just silly
its the closest thing known to non-wh’rs that relates to the comm blackout…
