Maybe if we start displaying the mission details in emojis and brain rot they will be able to understand it…
In other news… long time “rival” to EVE online is still not fully developed since 2012 but has now hit 1b in funding. Smh
Are the only thing keeping this game alive…
It’s like McDonalds: “1 billion fools served”.
Well it may hit beta. Its still alpha
That’s a rather broad assumption. I think we can agree that Alphas by and large aren’t doing it, but it’s anyone’s guess exactly which Omegas (old, new, future) are contributing the most. This year it could be Google keeping EVE in the black.
Same for Gallente areas. Not possible to go hours without seeing anybody in local, much less days. Sometimes you can enjoy the system for yourself for 10 mins or so, but that’s about it.
Not for not having the game spoon-fed to them, though. Some reasons for whining are more ridiculous than others.
And still runs like ■■■■ despite the Almighty Server Meshing.
Nah even alphas are keeping the game alive. There is a psychological effect of a player count. I am not sure what the breaking point would be for EVE, but at some point many players will say something like “just X players? that is not worth it” and won’t play it anymore. And that apply even for solo players who never group up and never socialize. Even they need other players for various resons.
So every player matters and multiboxing helps too. At least from the surface as for anyone who realizes this game allows multboxing quickly comes to the fact that real PCU is much lower and that could be detrimential.
No…the nerfs happened BECAUSE ganking even happens…you twist causation and reaction here…
You are NOT the victims here…you are the cause of it…
That was always bs…even if you and others repeat it…
still no ‘solution’…
Nah, if CCP/FC would have wanted to adress that, they could have simply fixed it by stopping the DOT once CONCORD is on scene. Cenos are nerfed over and over again because they were totally ridiculously OP when introduced and ruined fleetfights by turning even somewhat balanced engagements into one sided massacres. Exactly as foretold by some smart people right from the start…
See what still makes Eve great is that despite ganking existing (I assume HS) and being allowed to exist, there are still ways to be smart and grown up about it, and simply counter it, and plenty of ways too …
Eve hands you all the tools to counter almost anything.
So if you personally have an issue or opinion with ganking, then it is simply a YOU problem, not the ganker’s, nor the game’s.
For many people, the sheer existence of ganking serves to add a little spice and adrenalin to an otherwise boring AF trip to any market hub.
For others, they simply want their single player, risk-free, braindead Truck Simulator inside a adversity ridden and risky context. They would then get disappointed and angry at said context when it doesn’t go their way, and moan publically on forum instead of using their heads and the tools at their disposal ingame to fix it themselves.
You probably fall in this latter category, because you are clearly refusing to learn from anything PVP has to offer in a multiplayer and adverse environment.
You choose to exclude it entirely, which, if I may say, is pretty a darn stupid and idiotic thing to do.
It’s not though, and my Tornado’s artillery rounds speak volumes about it.
Yeah sorry but I’m gonna shoot this dead horse just a little bit longer… The supposed narrative that High Sec space is so busy that every single system in it will always be occupied with at least 1 other player is incorrect…
Now that statement may certainly seem to be true, especially during Events due to everybody roaming around in the first couple of weeks looking for event sites… But like I said before, it largely depends on location…
For example, during this past event I ran a route in an area of Minmatar High Sec space that consisted of a dozen systems all clustered together containing 4 deadend systems… That area was about half a dozen jumps from major Trade / Mission hubs and was ran in 0.9 to 0.7 systems… At various times I would be alone in some of those systems from anywhere between 10 mins up to a few hours…
And that was during a major event… For most events I usually go to secluded High Sec Island systems where Local is empty for much longer time periods…
Anyway, I’m done shooting that dead horse now…
I have made my reservations of this idea very well known. I am not going to beat that dead horse any deader than it already is. The 9th will be here shortly as of this post. Then we will see if new players beat a path to FC door or not.
Unlike the OP I will still be here.
I would like to say that in the small corner of Gallente space that I have staked out as more or less of where I like being. In one system that I do some HS mining. There is generally myself and two or three others. With about a good dozen or so others that pass through during the day. Mostly for exploration, mining, and sometimes a couple of gankers. The other two systems see a little more traffic.
I am off the beaten track as it were. Not on any direct flight to Dodixie or Jita. The low sec area where I do some station trading/mining gets a fair amount of traffic. The HS station that I use for station trading actually gets a better turn around on most items. Than the LS one.
As for the poor beaten dead horse. My last comment on that is. All games change. Some for the better. Others not so much. Whether these changes are for the better or not. We all will see after the 9th of June. Then we all will know.
If you undercut yourself that is a valid action. You may as well execute the self destruct sequence while sitting in an expensive ship or pod. That is both your decision.
If however someone else and no NPC undercuts you, then it is PVP to me. It forces you to shell out isk to undercut again or have no sale.
Thereby the action of another player is causing you to lose isk. Just in the same way as if your ship blows up due to another players action.
You may decide to avoid a fight in your ship as well as you may decide to not do the undercutting again.
And you may also take this further into market manipulation, but the origin of action is always a player and another player is losing isk.
It is PVP for me, because you are interacting with players and no NPCs.
I hate mining…
But, but, but where would we get endless targets.
Not that this “Bitter Old Vet” bothers to hunt them.
Anyway, I’m done shooting that dead horse now…
I was only shooting the Caldari dead horse. I think that by and large, Amarr, Gallente and Minmatar space are less populated.
