Magic 14 Nonsense

Because your bridge isn’t part of my destination. You can say anything you want until you’re blue in the face, my experience with this convinces me more than strawman arguments.

That’s your problem. You think I’m complaining but I’m only discussing.
Of course, it’s much easier to dismiss it as a complaint.
Typical EVE forum shenanigan.

You think that posting in a forum is spending energy?? I’m never hiring you as a roofer.

The rest of your post is trash so I’ll stop here.

thats why my pet alt uses one tower less

and look at this killmail . a thing of beauty

she have 4k million SP and is alpha
Captura de Tela 2022-06-28 às 10.31.16

but she trained some combat skills

as i said , focus on the small ships first , them cruisers …

i almost never use her but is a good example …

Nope. I’m sticking with Destroyers. They’re more fun, cheaper and less of a loss.

= small ship

Yes, but forget cruisers and all the rest.

frigates and destroyers are the bread and butter of FW
but i say
cruisers are super nice to
cheap and good to long roaming , they can kill 2 or more frigates / destroyers and even battlecruisers
i was pointed in gates a lot of times and got a nice kill in a cheap omen tier 1
i killed gnosis with my omen , once i killed 2 hecates
if you like small scale PVP like me train frigates / destroyers = small weapons
and them wen its all perfect go cruisers

btw my alt have 9 solo kills and as ii said before i never play with her

I don’t call 10mil cheap, plus all the modules will run you another 5mil at least. A Catalysts is about 800k. There’s no comparison.

I’m sure they’re a bit more powerful than destroyers but for all what I will do with them destroyers are the smarter choice.

Exactly.

I got me a Talos, attack battlecruiser. Just to fool around in it and see how long it lasts in combat with the best modules I can find. I’ll lose it quick but it’ll be fun.

I don’t measure my fun in number of kills. I don’t play to have a nice score on zKillboard. I’m way past beating my chest and seeking attention in a game.

not all people can be so wise and virtuous as you …

Most things called enduring have much better cap efficiency than t2, tbh I cant remember the last time I used a t2 mwd as quad lif is just amazing.

I started the game from scratch 3 times so I know for a fact that when starting out you dont need all the fitting skills you can skimp very easily by meta’ing a few modules np.

Getting everything to 3 is enough for the begining and does not take too long, for someone that is just starting it feels long thou yea but thats for CCP to sort out by making lvl 3 short and 4 and 5 longer to accomodate.

Imo its more important to explain to new players how to fit a ship well, and they will come up with their own fits according to their play style and change it slightly each time which is more fun as well, telling a new player to train these skills for 20 days while they afk from the game jsut to drop a meta fit on them is removing all exploration from them finding their own fits which is a lot of fun removed from the game.

If you had to explain to a new player how fitting is maxed in as few words as possible I would say:

  1. Never fit more than 2 types of the same module unless its weapons or damage mod’s but that goes to max 3.

  2. If you have to fit more than 2 cap mods for an active tank rather go cap booster and if you still struggle with cap mix in a cap reduction rig.

  3. Don’t worry about stable fit’s as it will reduce your efficiency find a duration you are comfortable with by tweaking your fit daily until you find something that feels good.

  4. Don’t spend more than 1 slot plugging only 1 resistance hole.

  5. Stick to 1 tanking strategy and only deviate from this if you are using anxillary charges and need a buffer between reload or if you are too squishy and are weak to alpha damage going through your entire defense.

  6. Don’t use more than 1 fitting mod rather downgrade to meta.

I would rather tell them this then let them discover fits on their own.

LOL ! I wish… I don’t care what “all people” do or cannot do. I care about what I can do and reflect on what I can’t do.

just saying
i beat my chest and jump and scream like an ape all the time
and seek the most attention i can get
thats just me …

I did notice that. Thankfully CCP included a Compare Tool. They did that right at least.

I use t2 for turrets, rigs, innertials and some energy modules.
I onky use t2 because most of the t1 are a joke.

I just go to the Mastery and start training levels in conjunction with the training for each module I know I’m going to use. I will not waste a minute of training on anything I don’t want/need.

Not much choice.

I agree completely.

… is BS.
Train as you play is my moto.

Yea but that’s why they should train into a ship they want to try then do some fitting and then O I want to try this ship pause the fitting skills train the ship then continue fitting and so on.

@DeMichael_Crimson First, nice suit.

Second you just confirmed what Aiko said, capacitor stability is PvE carebear, it’s a wrong idea of PvP and once one goes into this path it’s very hard to go back.

I, for example, can’t do a proper PvP fit, 'cuz I’m too used to be “stable” and “tanked”. Which is pure stupidity in PvP.

Maybe you’re too contaminated with PvE ideas to defend magic 14. The only thing to be defended is telling newbies to not spread to thin, because EVE skill system punishes.

I can agree to some sort of CORE skills to level 3 plan, but nothing more, and “MAGIC” needs to go.

So this is you!
Mystery solved.

Yep, that’s what I just did with the Talos I bought last week. One more day and I’ll be able to have fun in it… I hope the fun will last at least for a few hours before I get exploded all over space.

btw

hey , don’t post my pics in the forum :frowning:

no is not
maybe a ganker one i don’t know …
if you want to PVP …

a fitted combat destroyer cost like 20++ minion
a cruiser like 150++ million
a faction frig 35++ milion
a pirate frig 85++ milion
a pirate cruiser 300+++ milion

all tier 2 modules fitted

batlecruises have uses but they are more for LS pirates and HS gankers
IMO cruisers are way better for militia use
