It feels like you are guys are arguing the same point btw:
If he has a ship he is training for that takes awhile that means he is already in a ship he likes flying and feels fine waiting out that time.

No. I buy the ship only when I’m trained into it. Same for modules.

I’m always on the lookout for improved fittings. That is why I often look at killboard for people who have done really well, and find the few cases where they have lost a ship. In such manner I came across a Praxis with over 1000DPS, for example. In my view killboard is the best source for good ( and appallingly bad ) fittings.
Yep, I agree… But according to Mr.Epeen we’re supposed to ignore the internet and just jump headlong into the game… With advice like that it’s no wonder that new players get confused.
It’s more than that thou, some fits require a certain play style and flying knowledge, which is going to be worse for new pilots compared to a less meta fit.
Like the kiting beam slicer put a new bro in that and he is going to run out of cap and freak out within 10 seconds of fighting.

Again you miss the point that that cannot always have been the case…or you’d never have undocked on day 1 as a noob. You were, after all, making a statement about ‘new players’. Or have you abandoned that and its now only about you ?

You can ‘sigh’ all you like…but you made a whole bunch of statements about ‘new players’ not having a clue about fittings…and when challenged on that you resort solely to how you personally have some assumed expertise on fittings. Which evades the response to your original statements entirely.
You are six months into a game in which you stated " New players cannot “fit ships just fine”, not at all , not in a million years"…and now in the same thread you are telling us that you managed fine in 999,999.5 years less than that.

If you look at eve it seems to have updated with new npe stuff. Maybe this thread caused some effect in eve. Time to explore before going off at each other endlessly xD.
O ■■■■ this new npe is awesome, one of the missions is to join FW ■■■■■■■ nice, and get player kills.
Looks like its designed to give new players a taste of everything while training a bunch of lvl 2 and 3 skills, op success it seems. I don’t see magic 14 anywhere there.

I agree. But you know that with EVE the PvP bleeds into the forum for lack of targets in-game.
I love how the forum warriors take every statement and turn it into a negative. That takes skills. I’m impressed.
