Which has always been the real reason why people complained about cloaks, but since they use cynos themselves, those cannot be changed…
That’s always been my problem with the argument. The request to change another module, and every ship and mechanic that uses it, because they don’t want their module touched.

I’ve already seen multiple requests in the main ‘Oh God, no local!’ thread to nerf cynos.
Wishful thinking, CCP knows they just did a counter to cyno, even if the weepy null bears want to deny it.
I never thought I’d ever say this, but at this moment I’m glad that cynos require liquid ozone to use.
Why?
Because there’s no shortage of liquid ozone, only the superfluid Helium-4 whatever used in the FTL comms systems, so there’s absolutely no reason to limit cynos in light of the local blackout.
EDIT: Also, I find it amusing and somewhat satisfying that the official Local Comms Blackout thread is nearly as long as this one is after…how many days?
Seeing as cloaking is going to temporarily get safer in null, we should be looking at taking away some of it’s safety.
Cloaking devices should generate very minor amounts of heat, causing extended cloaking to carry the risk of disabling your mods and putting your ship at risk.
In this way, the hunters can have a chance to find the target, without introducing any changes in how an active player uses the cloaking device, aside from being unable to remain cloaked for an unlimited amount of time.
This change promotes being an active player in the game, not an inactive one.
A simple change that only puts risk towards those who linger in space too long, an active player can easily avoid the issue (provided they do no run out of nanite paste)
It allows player agency and control over activites in space as well as putting a minor degree of risk in place which has a strong chance to generate some lossmails and content.
It stands to reason some ships, such as blackops, may need a heat reduction role bonus. This would be an excellent addition to a battleship in sore need of ways to increase it’s EHP under pressure.
There are more minor details required for this adjustment, but as always constructive feedback and not bot responses are welcome.

Also…man, you don’t quit do you? I applaud your persistence, but your proposed change makes even less sense now that long-term AFK cloaking doesn’t in any way impact other people in the cloaker’s system. Like, not even psychologically. No pixel fear, no nothing. They just disappear. And you can’t use “hunters having a chance to find the targets” anymore because there is literally no way that the hunters will even know the targets are there unless they witness the target enter local, or the target speaks in local.
Give it a rest already. At the very least, wait and see how the local backout settles out before you go puching ot change things further.
Here’s some constructive feedback:
Without local, there is absolutely no difference between an AFK cloaky ship in your system and a logged off cloaky ship in your system.
Cease the fight, it’s over. AFK cloaking is gone.
… unless you have something against cloaks in general. In which case I suggest you find another thread because this one is specifically about afk cloakies, which are useless when you don’t have to circumvent local chat intel.
STOP LYING.
There is zero chance that your proposal will generate lossmails or content. Active players will, by your own statements, easily avoid the heat drawback. Inactive players, now that local is gone, no longer have any reason to stay logged in and will just log out when they are no longer active (and an offline ship does not generate heat or risk being attacked). Stop clinging to your terrible idea and desperately reaching for any possible justification to implement it.

pls make cloak modules use ozone or heavy water or some kind of fuel like the cino module and maybe they can be visible when they cicle ends so they start a new 1 like a cooldown of the module
You answered your own question, since cyno requires fuel and requires you to be visible, there is no need for cloaking to use fuel, especially since you can’t do anything while cloaked.
