Input broadcasting is very easy to spot from a killmail.
If all the attacking ships are identical (eg: gank catalysts) and pilot skills are all identical, then the damage on target of every ship will be almost identical. Some variation due to range, tracking and RNGesus is to be expected.
If the difference between top damage and bottom damage is more than ~10%'ish, then input broadcasting is unlikely.
CCP sometimes gives reimbursements when perhaps there is no actual reason for them to do so. Case in point, they once kindly reimbursed my Virtue pod that I’d foolishly self destructed on the undock of my C4 Fortizar when taking the pod express to Jita.
In any event, without the killmail to view, all we have is your word for it.
It’s actually pretty easy. Used to have a buddy that would run missions in a pricy rattle snake. Found out all he had to do if he got ganked was keep sending a ticket in. Eventually someone would reimburse anything that didn’t drop in the kill
This is kind of why I stopped paying CCP. I had a loss during a mass DDoS event. I asked for my ship back (only about 500 mil). They said no, I never paid for eve ever again after that. I asked several times and got denied every time. Not CCPs fault, not my fault, that’s fine. Just give me back what i lost. They said no.
