[March] Jump Fatigue Changes

Literally should have been done 3 years ago. This was the worst change made in the history of bad changes. I shouldn’t have to log off for 5 days to wait to play the game again.

I don’t think you know how caps are used

Ill leave these here for the jump fatigue timer mathematicians to hash over travel times from one side of the universe to the other under the new mechanics.

m-vacr > mvuo-f 20 jumps

qyzm-w > lx5k-w 17 jumps

KZ9t-c > a2v6-6 13 jumps

teg-sd > tpg-dd 14 jumps

ujy-he > okeo-x 18 jumps

This is just appealing to the lowest common denominator, i.e dumb capital pilots who don’t know how to manage jump fatigue.

If anything jump fatigue should be increased or is this now Capital Ships Online and flying anything else is considered verboeten to satisfy the power complex of the corrupt CSM?

Yo just go ahead and remove it entirely for JF’s

This is 10h rage jumping.

God forbid people want a fun roam in null.

I don’t understand how you equate ‘You can rage jump as the optimal solution’ into ‘The blue timer is is stopping rage jumping’…

WTF are you doing CCP? Do you want to turn EVE Online into Capitals Online?
Did you forget the insane buffs to capital mining and thus greatly increased cap production?
Capitals will be ubiquitous. They will be the new drakes.

This is a huge buff for the big power blocks. The opposite of what we need.

The point of jump fatigue was to NOT let caps travel across the universe and then back again.

One grizzly bear is fine but a few thousand is not.

lower fatigue time is good. but why not tie fatigue into sov as well. Like getting a bonus to fatigue but only if your alliance owns the sov? It should make boarder battles with two opposing forces still good.

Use a non-capital ship. Its not hard.

This goes too far in the other direction.
70%, not 95%

That depends on how many jumps they need. In most situations, there’s still going to be a fair amount of gating involved.

No, this means that if you need to take 6 jumps, you’ll get 2, then your reactivation timer’s maxed, and then it’s 30m a jump. So 2h to get there. For 6 jumps. If you want to go from say, Delve to Saranen, it’s a minimum time (without gating) of 4.5h.

I agree that fatigue/reactivation is too long. Right now just to move across one region it takes an entire afternoon/evening if you want to avoid major fatigue buildup, but this proposed change goes too far. Any major power bloc that feels like whoring on timer can easily set up to meet that timer with capitals pretty much without fail under these changes - assuming it isn’t literally on the other side of the map, and even then it is quite possible/reasonable.

I am firmly opposed to any rollback of Phoebe jump fatigue. Let them sit and rot with jump AIDS. The era of getting from Fountain to Vale in 10 minutes was a dark age of hatred and despair for every entity that was not goons or PL. Please do not bring us back to that point in history.

And for anyone that says large-bloc pilots are all for more jumping around, I have lived nearly the entirety of my eve life in nulsec, and nearly all of that with TEST, and I hate caps with a passion.

However, this does not mean I am opposed to a more informative and granular form of what @Querns referred to as the “Blue Mushroom”. I am perfectly fine with lower levels of jump fatigue being more meaningful.

Great changes.

A lot of people who tend to believe NCPL somehow will project again have a very cynical narrow minded thinking.

Before, super cap projection was a thing due to supers being self reliable in terms of remote repping, combat refitting, and minimal micro managing. The n+1 escalation worked incredibly well because the more supers=more repping power.

Today’s super cap fights fulcrum all hinges on FAXes being able to save the supers. Most people that hunt beyond the umbrella of the FAXes now are going out on a limb to sustain any proper fight. If anything, any smaller group of supers going 2-3 mids away under these new mechanics are risking a lot due limited FAX numbers in which can be killed easily if the enemy hold their ground. As soon as the fax is gone off the field, supers now become extremely vulnerable.

What like it’s amazing right now? Lol

Honestly who will care about blue timer any more? 30 mins red timer is waaay too low. It basically means you can jump anywhere any time.
You are needed today in 2nd part of galaxy ie Delve and need to move from Branch (80 ly - 13 jumps required)? Well no problem in new system. It will take at most 6 hours. Tommorow you need to go back to Branch? 6 hours jump travel and done. Every 30 mins you can go do some stuff or play on alt. Moving capital fleet HAVE TO REQUIRE planning. Fleets cannot be moved on daily basis on so long distances - or we will step back 5 years…
Basically jump fatigue will not add any complexity and with such low timers it can be removed.
