Are these Highsec NPC defense fleets beatable?
One day I wish to mine Moon Ore in a Rorqual.
Can confirm.
I tried killing them with a myrmidon, but they do too much damage. I had it dual repped too. But I killed the frigates and warped out. I was going to finish them off, but when I returned to the belt they had left. I will bring a different ship next time.
all the ships are fast, the caracals were shooting me from 80km and traveling at 600m/s. They like to shoot at drones too. They also have ospreys for remote reps, which is a pain.
Yeah. You did push all the right buttons for it!
Just in case you were serious: ā¦
Wait, this is impossible.

I love your thread i just started mining seriosly last week and i find your topic relevant and on point i really hate the npcs and anything that makes mining harder as it already hard enough. i would add that you dont have to fight the rat you can just warp away and find a new belt to mine in mining is not lost it will always be there i find that ore prices will increase and volume will go down thats mostly a good thing for me i lost my trend of thought so peace add me in game anyone please i need some mining friends
God help you with the rest of the game if you consider mining to be hard.
idk, have you tried anomalies? just a thought.
Wow. I meanā¦ just wow!!! But I guess it is true, the never ending, brutal and merciless fight not to fall asleep for the next 15min after you pressed F1.
Yes, but pretty tough, I got jumped on when in an Orca and a Skiff, only a couple of them actually point, so I managed to strip them away and warped out. After that I skirmished with them for a while, then did a bit of checking on how to defeat them. Here is the issue, it was designed to be content for group play, but me like many people did not have the luxury of having many active people around me at this point. So I theory crafted and read up on what little there was and then brought and set up two Nestors, which I since changed to a Nestor and a Leshak after doing an FOB with another player.
What people have to do before going out to mine is check in the Agency, in Encounters >> Pirate Strongholds, set to Any Distance and Any security, but also note that this does seem to be a bit iffy in that I blew up some that kept showing.
I have actually blown up FOBās for other people to help them out, but there are always risks with these things, you might notice that quite often people get blown up running them, and that is because they are hard and there are winkles to them that you need to know about, this is especially important in terms of nefarious content that some people will force on you. I will let you know in a private convo if you want to more more.
For me it is fun living and breathing content that I rather like, but I can understand why some people get upset with them, but those people need to talk to others and try to work with others and I have started to take my own advice on this only recently.
There are 3 system wide effect, that makes mining in certain system deadly. The effects are:
-
Sansha incursion. The usual weak belt rats are replaced with strong sansha ships that will murder you very fast. You get a lot of pop-up warnings about sansha incursion and even system-wide visual effect telling about undergoing incursion.
-
Triglavian invasion. This is fairly new content. The triglavian fleets tends to warp to random spot in system including asteroid belts. They have enough DPS to kill anything but strongly tanked ships. Similar to sansha incursion you get a lot of warning about this event.
-
Forward Operation Base (FOB). Some random systems have FOB located in them. It include Guristas or Blood raider mining fleet, and response fleet, that can warp to random belt time to time. Unlike the previous two event you get no direct warning about FOB presence. You need to activelu check for FOB presence using agency window. Otherwise the enhanced rats associated with FOB can easily murder you .
My guess is that you tried to mine in system with FOB and did not know about it.
Yes, absolutely.
Please tell us what makes mining hard for you, because everyone afk mining is proving you wrong. Likeā¦ not once in my ten years have i ever read that someone claimed mining is hard.
Seriously curious. Please share your thoughts and struggles.
Link to the CODE official lore, please? Not doubting it, just want to see how they worked it in.
Doesnāt look thatās official EVE lore, mate. Just more of Jim 315ās ongoing blogging/propagandizing. Though disguising the stuff as lore would be just his style. The official stuff is here: https://community.eveonline.com/backstory/
Not obsessed with them or anything weird like but I am now finding it hard to believe and now thinking this statement is false.
Can anyone confirm with pictures?

It would be strange for CCP to let employees post ingame chat without consent of the creator in an effort to demean people on a site open to public naming and shaming. Driving people to in best case leave the game and worst case suicide.
I guess the H in HTFU means Hide.
They pay https://www.markmonitor.com to protect them against direct communication concerning their monetization of your art without your consent.
However if you are a victim of them pubishing your work of art you can sue them as they forgot to use a Russian identity protection company that will not disclose the information of the suspects.
Imagine paying your ganking main and alts with revenue from that siteā¦
