I am confused. Are you saying that hisec ganking is NOT part of the game? Or that it should be removed? I disagree with you either way. Thing do need changing and one of the things I do, when on the CSM, is ask WHY changes are made and HOW they will know if the changes worked as hoped. I ask for the stats/data and if it is industrial then I let someone such as Ken Feld handle it . . . .I weill readily admit that he knows more than I in that regard. Same goes for The Oz and economic changes. On the other hand if it is NPE? Then they allow me to take the lead.
This is the main reason that you want a balanced CSM with a lot of skill sets and styles represented.
No, I donât play YOUR game. I do not measure myself in terms of kills but of engagement. What I do in Eve does not cause ships to explode . . . it helps keep players in the game. Lets them know that we are not all out to get them. Poorly fit T1 ships? THAT is what newbros can fly. I am getting them started, not sending them into one of the great wars. I fit with the limitations of minimal skills and T1 modules easily sourced. And yet even today I had two players tell me that they still have and treasure the ships that they got from me years ago.
I do exploration and abyssal runs. I fly in events and drive Operation Magic School Bus. I spend some time every day in Rookie Help Chat helping the new players.
An utterly moronic comment. If you ever pass through the starter systems, chances are that you will see Mike (as I did a couple of days ago) running the Bus.
As for not doing anything whilst on the CSM, he did a very great deal to get CCP to improve the NPE.
This game is not just about PVP. It is a sandbox, remember. I never do PVP, and have enjoyed playing the game that I am still here over a decade later.
None of this is useful for a CSM candidate. It has honestly been bad form of the EVE community to lie to you all these years saying you have anything of value to add. Your post has next to no effort in it asides from pure entitlement. You cannot point to anything of value you add. Nor could CCP when they decided not to pick you last year.
âNo, I donât play YOUR game.â balance issues, content issues surprisingly donât involve gating a bowhead around giving bad advice or fit ships to new players. It is very telling you think the fits are okay because they are new players, they arenât they are badly fit ships even for new players because you donât have a clue what you are doing.
So you donât care about new players? you donât care that we need fresh blood to STAY in game⌠the fit ships mike gives out a newbie can easily train into or work to train into..
would you prefer him to be an F1 monkey?
everybody complains about the NPE, mike tries to help make it better.. is it so bad that we actually have one person from hisec who wants to help newbros stay in game be on CSM? plus who actively engages with the community and takes any and ALL suggestions to CCP regardless who it comes from?
your corp hasnât been in a war since before covid, so youâre really gonna sit and judge mike?
My question for the candidates: Would you support T2 battleship cap chain shield logi?
Like T2 battleship variants of the Basilisk, Scimitar, Oneiros, Guardian?
We have had multiple candidates do the exact same thing Mike is a bad candidate for that. The man does nothing but waste space while saying he helps new players (he doesnât). âHe takes stuff to CCPâ yes so does every other CSM member.
I think that was a very reasonable response and I could never vote for a HS candidate (or any candidate) who thinks otherwise. HS ganking is part of the game.
Iâm glad to see Mike has this stance on the topic and Iâll put him on my ballot.
You are entitled to your opinion. Iâll leave it at thatâŚ
On a very personal note. One of the reasons I love this game. Is that I am not safe anywhere. That possibility of being ganked keeps me very much aware. It may ruin the game for some, but the majority of players accept the risk. I would even hazard that many even go Omega because of the risks in playing this game. It is one of the reasons I did go Omega.
This is all a bit rich coming from a year old player isnât it?
Is the other few day old alt you as well?
Mike does more than youâll ever know for the game, so how about you take your hate and vitriol somewhere else rather than spamming a guy just trying to help?
What do you have against Mike anyways? Seriously your vitriol is more than, âI think he make a lousy candidate for the CSMâ. I am just curious as to what you have against Mike.
I have nothing against Mike personally. I take issue with someone who doesnât engage with the actual core of the game acting like they are adding value. CSM is already diluted with clueless nullbrain candidates that we donât need someone equally clueless but âa nice fellaâ being on CSM diluting it further. In terms of new players I think there are other candidates Kshal for example who do that job better while engaging with the core of the game. People arenât quitting the game because they arenât given a badly fit ship in the new player zone, they are quitting because the game play loop gets made â â â â by bad patches. All the good stuff people say about Mike can be done either off CSM or by another rep who does engage with the core of the game.
Here is some things. Mike is not his only 'toon. He has lived in WH space. Has lived in low and null sec. Has experienced much of the game. The person that behind that screen has experienced as much of this game any vet or bittervet every has. He has forgotten more of this game than either or I could ever hope to know about. He was playing during the casino wars. Shoot, he probably could tell you how much the game has changed from when the Goons were damned nearly destroyed..
How do I know all this as a player of only a year and half. I keep my mouth shut and listen when I am among people who know more than I do. In the words of T Boone Pickens. âI donât have to be the smartest man in the room. I just have to know the smartest man in the room.â
And the smartest man in the room is not me or you. We are new players. We have not one bleeding idea really how this game works. You, I, and any new player might have a clue or two, but it will be years before we really have any good understanding. Even then we will know only what areas interest us the most. Just like every other vet in this game does today.
I listen to his youtube video mostly for amusement, but when I catch him in the Rookies Chat. When he says something. Everyone there knows he is talking either from experience or with knowledge he gained along the way.
As for people quitting. That has been the topic of discussion that CCP through the devs and CSM down to us players here on reddit and on the forums. While you have your opinion on why people are quitting. It is actually an opinion that has been debated in form or another. There has been no good resolution to date. Either here or on reddit.
If you want to see change then run for the CSM and quit complaining in the corner. Proclaiming you know what is wrong with the game. Run for the CSM next year. Show everyone you do know what is wrong. Otherwise you are just another in a long line of new players that only think they know, but does not have any real clue.
i who know zip about the game as has been clearly illustraded by myself and by my lack there of knowledge⌠but i do know and have read plenty of posts and even some csm minutes when they where published or made available and mike has done a lot..the first time i heard about mike was back in 2017, at the time the pc i had could of made a potatoe seem like a gaming pc.. it was bad, but i still tried to play eve not becaue i wanted to see if i could get free stuff.. but because what mike was doing was really cool. almost like a robin hood of space but instead of taking from the rich he simply provided the new players with stuff from his own pocket-operation magic school bus was probably one of my favourite moments of eve apart from the all epic battle for M2-XFE. but i digress Mike has been an inspiration to many new players and is the reason i heard of the CSM by accident one night while doomscrolling on YT. In the future when i run for CSM again after i have a bit more knowledge under my belt i can only aspire to be as well learned and well respected as Mike. he is an advocates champion for high sec, has been endorsed by much of high sec and even null pilots such as Brisc rubal who also ran against mike. if you can speak poorly about mike as being another wasted spot for the CSM, then i dont who youd support.
Mike you have my vote as i thinnk youll keep representing HiSec well.
Have you had an occasion to try it during Operation Nemesis or earlier? What was your impression if any?**
Sadly my Vid card is slowly dying and I do not have the maching to run Vangaurd. Wish I did though. I do enjoy shooters now and again.
| **2. Information & ISK itemization
How about being able to take a notes from your notepad and put it as an item into container or ship cargo? Same with an amount of ISK? Just like you can do with PLEX.**
In theory I love the idea, in practice I wonder how much it would be abused. If you can move plex then it would be a decent substitute for isk, in 6 mill increments.

| **3. Production Plans
Basically the idea behind this is to bundle all the BPOs (BPCs), required to produce some final product, say, an assembled Drake fully fitted according to some saved fit ready for duty, into a single BPO-like item, and internally arranged into an intricate production workflow. Complete with logistics tasks, if necessary, using delivery corp projects. It could use BPMN diagram editor to arrange.**
Automation to remove clicks? If there are 20 subsytems/modules in the construction is this not a way to bypass job number restrictions? If I supported it it would be with the autopilot clause . . . it works but much worse than when done manually.
Hello Mike Azariah, first of all good luck with your campaign âŚand may the best will win ofc
(I will great every candidate this way )
Thank you for your lightspeed replies, I am going alphabetically through candidates list and I am finished for today. I will continue later next day
Min GPU requairements for EVE Vanguard are NVIDIA RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT. But it will run on 10xx RTX cards on low settings âjust fineâ.
The only abuse that comes to my mind when thinking of itemized notes are profanities written down to read when they fall out of my wreck
The âProduction Planâ idea respects parallel jobs limitation - the workflow can be designed to run in parallel but the number of paths running at once would be limited accordingly
There is a room for tweaking it like, delay between switching steps, or added time overhead to regular BPO run time for using it in Production plan automation.
Sorry your card is dying. I am currently running a low end alienware gaming laptop myself. I have to go potatoe even in a small pvp fleet. After I get the wife her new gaming machine and a better monitor. I am hoping to get a better gaming machine myself sometime in '26.
Well a ganker that blows up my ship.. That ganker should not be that thin skinned when reading my profanity laced note.
As for BPâs I can see an advantage in streamlining the process, but would have to see what the actual proposal would really look like. But i do not see it as by passing the job number restrictions.
As you are still doing one job. If you are building things that are already going into the ship anyways. Why not combine the whole thing into a single BPO. It would make the workflow and time be a little more efficient, in my almost humble opinion.
