No…just trying to translate your invariable ‘nanananana’ into English. But do keep up the comedy of providing your ludicrously simplistic answers to everything.
Lol…what you mean is its a game where you ‘agree’ to be hunted if you are a miner, but there’s practically nobody out there actively hunting the gankers. Who did they ‘agree’ to be hunted by ?
Some of them look good. Some of them are just weird though.
I mean, what’s the point of splitting the old regular ore holds into all these specialised ore/ice/gas holds? So now you can force players to pick another hauler if they want to haul ice instead of gas? Yay, such great gameplay. Also, an Orca now has 150x3 = 450k m3 combined ore/ice/gas hold. That’s pretty big.
With specialised bays you can give a small agile frigate with a small cargo hold a huge ore hold without turning the ship into a generally good hauler.
With specialised bays you can give a black ops battleship a much larger fuel bay without allowing it to bring more other stuff.
Or more generally speaking: with specialised bays you can limit what a ship can bring in the regular hold while also allowing it a lot of other storage for one type of item that CCP wants it to be able to carry.
So it makes sense to give a ship specialised bays. Multiple bays even if CCP thinks the ships should be able to do multiple things at the same time: for example a ship maintenance bay, fuel bay and ore bay all on the Rorqual.
What does not make sense is to split a general ore bay into specialised ore, ice and gas bays, as a ship is only mining one at the time so two of the bays are useless and the situation would be exactly the same if the bays were not split.
So I don’t get it.
(Oh and about fleet hangars: they’re unique and a bit more powerful than regular cargo bays as they allow access from other fleet members, so fleet hangars are limited to a few ships indended for that fleet support role only.)
I do have an exact situation its useful for, but I agree its an outlier, but if the bays are all the same size, will it not just mean you can do what you did, now just more of it? I can see your point, but I also dont see it being a bad thing unless they literally divide the existing bay by 3.
Yeah but its purely a limitation mechanic. Why cant all cargobays be like that? What imbalance would happen?
It turns these mining ships and mining support ships into large haulers, which I don’t think is the intention of these ships. We already have haulers in the game.
I know i was an Orca pilot during that time , i was also Multiboxing during that time period , Orca off grid boosting , coming for haul from time to time.
I was very pleased with the involvment of the Orca in belts now instead of Off grid , boost to drones aswell so they are not just there to look pretty.
We are back to looking pretty but on grid this time. Awww
I used to park mine at private POS and have an open boost fleet in system while at work or something. Figured helping folks out was a good thing and no real risk at the time.
Hopefully, some players on either side of the fence (good changes/bad changes) are carefully noting their yields and stats now before the changes, so we can have some actual hard data to compare to after the changes.
Nothing like good ol’ data to tell you if you’ve received a nerf or a buff, and to what extent.
The only miner is the Proc that may be tanked up (+60k) but even that only takes 6 to 8 Catalysts to kill in hisec. That is still worth it in terms of cost.
They should increase the tank of the Hulk just to not have it destroyed by one Catalyst.
